    SNIMMER allows AOL, MSN, Yahoo! and Jabber / Google members to use their existing instant messengers to chat with each other. It is not a competing instant messenger. In any event, should your IM provider restrict your ability to talk to other people via SNIMMER you will not be affected. You will continue to have uninterrupted access using any other IM provider.
