I was not impressed with Dr. Udler and I will not be taking my son back there. He was recommended by my son's pediatrician after my 2 year old son had a minor tooth injury. The facilities were nice, everyone else working there was nice, but I did not like Dr. Udler. He made a lot of very inappropriate remarks, asked several inappropriate questions, and I found him to be awkward and rude.

My daughter fell and hit her mouth when she was under 2. An upper front tooth was knocked out of place. Our pediatrician sent us to Dr. Udler and he was able to save the tooth. Although he warned us it might not stay in, 5 years later she still has the tooth and it looks like it will fall out on schedule. Dr. Udler is an intense guy, which is fine with me. He is willing to delve deeply into the dental/medical issues, but be prepared to endure some technical language along the way. Highly recommended overall.

Dr. Udler does not mollycoddle parents. At first I thought he was rather curmudgeonly but as I got to know him better through the dental work done on my daughter, I appreciate the fact that he is straightforward, that he does a fantastic job. My daughter had extreme anxiety about seeing a dentist but Dr. Udler was able to make the experiences (4 times to count) much less traumatizing. He's also had over 30 years of experience so he knows how to deal with his young patients. I also appreciated that we had a pre-treatment discussion - he took about an hour an a half to explain exactly what he was going to do and how he was going to achieve it. During the visits, he's fast and efficient. He has various methods for making the children more at ease including pre-medication, nitrous oxide, not showing the child the needle, using a dental dam (prevents water and other material from being swallowed by child). Of course, the visit is topped off by a selection of stickers which is the highlight in my daughter's view.

Dr. Udler is a wonderful practitioner who is great with kids. My son was originally diagnosed with a speech defect and went through years of speech therapy. When we first saw Dr. Udler he realized that what my son really needed was a procedure called a sublingual phrenectomy. Once the procedure was performed my son's speech problems disappeared immediately! Thanks to Dr. Udler for his astute diagnosis.
