Dr. Barrett has performed four gum grafts on my mouth over the past few years. The results have been perfect. She really knows what she is doing and explains what is going on in your mouth in a calm, clear manner. The procedures were relatively quick, with soreness subsiding after a couple of days. The atmosphere in Dr. Barrett's office is kind an warm. Everyone in the office is positive, helpful, and treat me like family whenever I'm there.

About Front Desk: Lauren is always very helpful and patient in helping me schedule appointments, or change them. She is positive, kind, and always quick to get back to me when I have any questions or concerns.

About Hygienist: Tracey does an amazing job with cleanings, and also spends a lot of time explaining how you can best take care of your teeth and gums at home. She's very easy to talk to, and like Dr. Barrett is incredibly knowledgeable.

My regular dentist sent me to Dr. Barrett to have my gums checked. Turned out I had gingivitis, and my gums were in need of some serious attention. We embarked on a plan to do some grafting. I've had more pain getting a cleaning. Not sure exactly how many teeth were worked on, but I feel as if it were all the gums. Dr. Barrett was sensitive to ensuring I was comfortable and informed throughout the process. Also, Carol is a wonderful support to Dr. Bennett and helped things run smoothly during surgery. So far, it seems as if the grafts have taken. I would certainly trust my oral health to Dr. Barrett. In addition, everyone in the office works well with one another.

About Front Desk: Lauren is professional and does a great job, whether responding to my emails, answering my call, or greeting me.

About Hygienist: Tracey is meticulous and knowledgable - she helped instill the fear of not flossing into me and I am proud to say that today I am a dutiful flosser as a result

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Barrett and her staff. I had put off doing a much-needed gum graft because I had heard such awful things about the pain of having tissue removed from the roof of your mouth to be used as the graft. Dr. Barrett does not do that. She uses AlloDerm (go to her website to read about it). I was also very nervous about the pain after the procedure, but I had Zero pain. She called me after the procedure to check on me and even called me back when I called the office on a weekend! The results are excellent and I would recommend her to anyone. Great experience!

About Front Desk: Linda is wonderful, kind and friendly.

I was sick for quite some time and had terrible tooth problems so much so that a couple of teeth fell out. I sought emergency medicine from my relatively new dentist and he referred me to an oral surgeon at BWH. This fool made erroneous appointments over a 3 week period when I was in horrible untreated pain and then they all told me that it couldn't happen, told me to "stop making it up or I will loose more teeth." I finally wised up and returned to my original dentist who immediately referred me to Dr. Barrett. She immediately treated my symptoms, cleared up the infection that had become so progressive that it led to decay and eventual erosion of my bone (which led to the tooth lost). I am feeling great and am finally well enough to consider implants! During the entire process all of the staff has been and continues to be very supportive and caring!

About Front Desk: Linda is super responsive and helpful!

This was a very expensive procedure, having the Alloderm gum graft. She convinced me to have each and every one of my teeth done, ( except the front two) which all other periodondist have later said was a sign of greed. The surgery was haphazard and resulted in worsening of my gum recession and did not help in 90% of the areas she worked on. She is misleading as to the results you can except, greedy and not very honest if you want my opinion. Worst experience of my life.

I had a tooth extracted. I went for an eval first and she believed the tooth needed to be pulled. I was very nervous so I called my general dentist. He sent me to an endo and the endo recommended me get the flap surgery. I did not do that. I had my teeth deep scaled, that was when it was conclusive that the tooth was a sick tooth. Needless to say Dr. Barrett scheduled her hygienist to see me after hours for my deep scaling (that was unusual and kind treatment). The next day I went in and had the tooth pulled. (again after their usual office hours). It took Dr. Barrett about 2 hours if not more. Dr. Barrett's usual time to take out a tooth is 5 minutes. There was soo much decay and the tooth was fractured that it took this long. What an amazing person never mind Dentist. Dr. Barrett even gave me a hug when the whole thing was done. Carol who is Dr. Barrett's assistant was also very very helpful. We had a great chat about fractured teeth. I am thrilled I met this team of professionals. They all seem to be having a great time in the office together.

About Front Desk: Linda is such a great help with scheduling, talking ( as I am a fantastic talker as well). She would always work with me whatever I needed.

About Hygienist: Tracy was fantastic. She took me on a Thursday at 6:00 PM. to do my deep scaling. I went back yesterday after having my tooth pulled the previous Thursday. Another kind individual. I have very deep pockets in my mouth so now it is my job to keep up with my hygiene so I can keep the rest of my teeth in my head. Tracy said her and I will work as a team to make this happen. I cannot say any more about Tracy except she is great. The love of her job really shows. I hope in the end for total success.

Dr Barrett provides a comfortable environment in which difficult and complex procedures are performed with professionalism, great care, and thoroughness. Her staff are well trained and share the same warmth and high level of dental care. Chair-side manners could not be better.

The hygenist and receptionist are the best I have encountered. Dr. Barrett does her best to make you comfortable, but may downplay after-effects or side-effects of treatment. Sometimes her instructions conflict with those of her staff. She does a good job, but may waffle when questioned directly.

Treated my wife for gingivitus... Totally satisfied (except for the cost, of course, but that is not fundamentally the doctor's fault, in our opinion.
