Two of my daughters went to Dr. Schieck for fillings. They were both covered under Delta dental insurance. Dr Schieck told both of them the dental work would be covered under the insurance but when the bill arrived the insurance did not cover the white fillings so they were both billed over $500 each. One daughter paid, the other did not. Since it was my insurance they were covered under he sent the unpaid bill to collections in my name. He made no attempt to contact me in any way and I had no knowledge of the bill until it showed up on my credit rating. I contacted Dr Schieck and advised his that I had not knowledge of the bill and that I would pay him that day if he takes this off my credit report, which he said he would. I asked him why he made no attempt to contact me and he told me he did know how he could. He took my money, payment in full that day, however he did not have it removed from my credit, and to make it worse he added a comment that it was "settled less than full balance."
He took advantage of my daughters young age and checkbooks, he was deceiving on the billing practice and he lied to me and the credit reporting agency about the bill paid in full.
