First and foremost - DO NOT trust the good reviews... Alpan Orthodontics actually bribes their customers to do good yelp reviews by handing out Starbucks gift cards. Shouldn't people be compelled to do good reviews on their own by giving them outstanding service? Well, not here! This should be the first indication of how they conduct business. Most of the "good reviews" are fairly old anyway... so consider this the latest and greatest evaluation.
I have now been a long time patient of Alpan and let me just say - nothing good is going for them. The first part of this review is for their staff up front and their billing department. They are insanely disorganized and incapable of running an orthodontist practice properly. The incorrectly charged me twice for $150 and after months (literally over 6 months) of multiple calls per week, and even a physical face-to-face meeting to correct these charges, low and behold, they have not been removed. Every time I have talked to them, or met with them, they have assured me it has been addressed. Yet every time we get a billing report it shows those 2 charges unpaid. If you want to pay for things you don't owe, if you want to deal with incapable people, this is the place for you!
About Front Desk: They will all smile to your face but, do no actually try to help you or get you the information that you need. It is all roundabout answers and "I have to talk to so-and-so and we'll call you back" with no returned phone calls.

A very good person to know and trust my teeth was in OK shape but after I left the treatment I saw how much he did to strengthen and correct my look he did a wonderful job and I plan to go back to get more work done.
About Front Desk: Cool no problem at first I was scared, but as I learned to trust them it became a no braner to trust their work.

Poor treatment. I went in for profile retraction. He agreed to retract my teeth back into a good place but instead pushed them all so far forward that I can no longer close my mouth. Accidents and mistakes happen. But in his case, he does not want to acknowledge it and says "that is not my fault" and "I can not control that". Orthodontists are supposed to control teeth movements. Additionally, if he can not control protrusion/retraction then why did he accept my case and agree to retract my teeth? Very bad.

Dr. David Alpan is the place to go for braces.
When other place did not think Invisiline would work for me, He did and with success. I would hardly recommend this office. Price are fair when you compare the overall office visits. Dr. Alpan is not satisfied until your smile looks perfect.
I will defenetely bring my kids here when the time comes.

Dr. Alpan is a leading expert in Invisalign. My dentist recommended him and after one year, my teeth have changed tremendously. At my last dental visit, my dentist was so impressed with Dr. Alpan's work that he called his entire staff into my exam room to look at the progress that had been made to my smile and my bite. What makes Dr. Alpan stand out, and the reason I chose him as opposed to a couple of other recommendations given to me by my dentist, is his bedside manner and apparent passion for his work. The staff at Aesthetic Orthodontics is incomparable. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, and to accommodate you in every way possible. My experience has been extremely positive, and after talking to several other patients who feel the same way, I wouldn't recommend anyone else.

I've been seeing Dr. Alpan for about a year now and I've had ONE conversation with him regarding my treatment plan, progress or concerns. And when this conversaion did happen, he was rude and sarcastic. They make you sit in a room of 8 chairs, the Dr. swings by for less than a minute, tells something to the assistant and he's off to the next patient. Aside from a hello, no update on progress, what he'll be doing next nor what to expect on your next visit. NOTHING! the staff is great but his "bedside manners" are the worse. You pay less for your braces but at the price of basic customer/patient servce. Skip this guy! Bad experience and check him out on the Dental Board of California license website..... not good.

I went there to change my removable retainer to a permanent one. Although they use top notch technology and Alpan himself is very knowledgeable I was disappointed. After he looked at my teeth I was put in the hands of an assistant (one of like 12 he has there he only overlooks them) to do the job, which is not an orthodontist. she "accidentally" glued floss wire to my teeth and when Dr. Alpan came to take a look at the mess it was obvious that he was stressed/anxious. In the end he unglued/cut the dangling end of the wire and I was left with the rest in my mouth stuck behind the permanent retainer. Overall I was expecting more for the price I paid and + I was there for ~2 hrs to get it done with the assistant almost pulling a couple of teeth out of my jaw. If he would have done the job himself I would probably be out of there in half an hour and feeling more comfortable. Otherwise the place is clean and the staff is nice just too bad that it runs like a factory rather than a personal dentist service.
