He was so friendly and nice before we signed up. After the last check, we were told the treatment was finished, but teeth are still crooked and now there is no friendliness. He will not speak. he makes his assistants talk to us. He often just walks off if you ask him a question. Also, when my kid says her jaw hurts and asks for a break, there is no break as thy have kids lined up for treatment all more important than my kids comfort . I would give negative stars if possible and would not care about his manner, but results are extremely poor. Look at the wall and go to phelps and cohen and look at their wall. In my opinion, the smiles are more even and much more attractive on one than the other. For the price, there should not be mediocre results.

About Front Desk: very good

My Experience: Braces

Braces came off multiple times and took a lot of time to keep going back to fix it. They seemed nice at the beginning but once you're in contract, they don't care about you. Reception had an attitude, even when you wanted to talk to the dentist for a technical question, she'll try to answer without being a prefessionally trained personnel so you won't bother the dentist. Accountant is lazy, you won't get a receipt for the payment you give untill you asked for it every time even though the payment is done automatically per month.

Dr. Leong achieves results by following standard routine, though I can't say that he shows any of the proactivity or passion expected of a leader in the field. If you stick to the scheduled appointments and have no extraordinary cirumstances, it would probably work for you. However, if you have an emergency outside their posted hours, don't count on the emergency line -- the one time I tried, none of the three doctors in the office picked up the emergency phone nor did they respond to messages. Two of the staff in the office exhibit a lot of attitude across visits and don't make the patient feel comfortable. There is sometimes a lack of attention to the detail -- it has not been uncommon to leave the office with wires obviously sticking out that required a follow-up visit. Finally, it is Dr. Leong's policy not to prescribe painkillers that require a prescription, so for those few days of the treatment when OTC painkillers don't help, be prepared to make an appt with your regular physician to get the prescription. Due to the required downpayment, it is costly to get out of the contract despite the above performance problems, so we'll just stick it out and hope that nothing else will happen. On the upside, scheduling is flexible.

Dr. Leong is extremely patient and gentle. He maintains a professional approach while conveying a warm and friendly attitude that is very reassuring. He has been amazing with my son who is VERY anxious about all dental procedures. All three of my kids have received orthodontic care from him and all have been a grand success.
