Both my children have went to him. He seemed to be okay with my son. But I did not like the way he talks with his staff. When my daughter went he was rude to his staff and to her. She complained about it all the time. I did not take her often but when I had a comment he bit my head off. Our insurance does not pay much so we pay most of the cost out of pocket. He maybe able to treat his staff rudely but he should not be treating his customers that way. I noticed also that many of his chairs were empty. That could be way. His staff is nice but he is rude and my daughter hates going there. I would not recommend him. As a parent I should be ask question and get answers without the Doctor being rude. If you doesn't feel like he should inform is customers in polite why he needs to retire.

About Front Desk: The lades at the desk are nice. His staff is respectful. He is not.

I had my braces for four years and had to get four teeth pulled to make it work. I was told that after I got my braces off I would wear a retainer every night and when my wisdom teeth grew in they would give me a new retainer to finish my treatment. When I called them to get my retainer because my old one wouldn't fit they said my treatment was over and I have to pay $85 to just come in and $500 for a new retainer they forgot to put it in their notes. I finally wouldn't leave them alone so they fixed it. Now a year later my teeth are going back to how they were before because I found out they made my retainer crooked and now they said since I didn't check their work before my teeth got crooked it's my fault and I will have to pay for new treatment for them to fix their mistake. I had a second opinion on the retainer and they even said that it was made not to fit my teeth correctly which is the reason they are shifting now. I have three other friends that have gone there and the same thing happened to them. I would never recommend them they expect you to check their work and charge you when they make a mistake.

My daughter had a very complex issue that would require over $20,000 to correct (via 3 other consults) unless we had ortho work done in a way to lessen the problem....and this without her having any crooked teeth to start! Dr. Wolterman knew the latest treatments that allowed my daughter to fix the problem without having to go to school or sleep with head gear, while saving us $15,000 and helping her bite. He and his staff worked very well with our dentist and surgeon and were always there for us for any issues. Parent involvement is welcomed and encouraged at every visit! highly recommend !

I have been a patient of Dr Wolterman since I was in 2nd grade. I am now starting my second year of college and my bite still isnt corrected. I have had numerous appliances, after I got my actual braces off I wasnt given any retainers and my teeth only came togeather on one side. My incorrect bite has lead to constant pain of my jaw. Dr Wolterman saw me for a follow up visit a year later and decided to fix my cross bite and make my jaw touch on both sides at his expense. Since this visit he has been very rough when examining my teeth, he has gotton angry at myself and my father numerous times and its always a negative experience going to his office. The last 5 or 6 visits I have had took place over this last summer to try and finish my mouth before college started back up. Each of these appointments Dr. Wolterman has drilled away parts of my teeth that have been preventing my other teeth from touching. He knows this is really painful to me and has really messed up my bite to where i have two places that my teeth hit, on the back left molars and the front right canine teeth. I am in retainers presently and I am NOT satisfied with my teeth. So over all I would not recommend Dr. Wolterman to anyone.

I felt like Dr. Wolterman's office was like a factory. Too many patients being waited on at the same time! Because of this, neither the technicians nor Dr. Wolterman are very gentle AT ALL. They are in such a hurry, I felt like my teeth got unnecessarily knocked a lot with the instruments, and they don't bother explaining what they're doing or why, or what sensations you might feel. I don't think they like to stop what they are doing to answer your questions when you do get a chance to ask. In that respect, I felt that it was very impersonable!

Dr. Wolterman was very rude and had a terrible attitude with children as well as adults. I will not return and I will let others know about my experience with this doctor.
