Once had two fillings done/billed when I was told only one was needed. Always recommended work (fillings, crowns, etc.) which another dentist did not feel necessary.

I was a patient of dr. pagonis for 4 years because someone I trusted said that he was a great doctor. This was a horrible mistake and unfortunately my teeth suffered.
I have come to realize that the way he operates is strictly to make money first and foremost. He did not care about the long-term health of my teeth. He kept insisting that I get a crown in one of my teeth yet when I got other opinions, from other dentists, they all said I did not need it. Dr. pagonis did not even take full x-rays. I went to another dentist who took x-rays and found that I did not need a crown in that tooth which pagonis suggested. yet, instead, the other dentist who took the x-ray saw that another tooth was in extreme need of restoration, even though pagonis said it was "optional"- after i told pagonis what my other dentist has said and showed him the x-rays, he then told me (in a round about way) that the other dentist was correct and that he would change my treatment plan.
after i realized how incompetent he was, i left. As a result, because pagonis did not see the problem over the years my tooth has suffered.
About Hygienist: Denise, the hygeinist, was terrible and very unpleasant to be around. I have never even seen her smile. Elizabeth, the one with the tatoos, is very fake and unhelpful as a secretary.

Dr. Pagonis has been my dentist my whole life! He has also seen everyone in my family. I am TERRIFIED of needles and shots, and I can honestly say that I do not feel a thing! I recently went in to get a new crown and they have this new scanner that takes pictures of your teeth so you dont have to sit around forever with that impression stuff in your mouth! His office seems up to date and the staff is so friendly!

He apparently has a lot of experience from what I hear. I should just point out that he is not very friendly and is very strict with money. Overall, this is a family practice so I am sure his merits and sucess have been brought to him through the assistance of his family, who also work there.
If cost is an issue it may be advisable to seek treatment elsewhere.
About Hygienist: Annette seemed to want to know a lot about my personal life instead of hel me with my dental issues. Overall, she is okay, but I would prefer another hygienist.

Dr. Pagonis' chair-side manners are excellent, and he's always prompt! He's been my parents dentist for decades, and I have been seeing him for 10+ years.
About Hygienist: Sometime his dental assistants are a bit too chatty, but that's a minor thing...

Yes, the facility is great and advanced tech equipments aplenty, and I like the hygienist I currently have. But I cannot wait to try another dentist. They do not contract with many (or any?) dental insurance networks and claimed they are worthy of our money. I feel that the clinic is filled with materialism and rightly so from the money they care to and manage to get from their patients. If one slightly misses the appointment time they will have a message waiting for you in your answering machine and fill the spot right with someone else. I even went in once or twice without ever seeing the doctor after cleaning, and insurance charge was the same. I personally get a feeling that this is a good job for them and nothing more.

Dr. Milton Pagonis has an excellent demeanor and it has, overall, been a pleasure to be one of his patients. But the cost of dental work is very high, necessitating my move to a dentist who is a primary care provider under my dental insurance plan.
