Dr. Lai is a very soft-spoken, seemingly polite lady when you first meet her (e.g. consultation). During treatment, she's too soft-spoken. Almost never tell you what she's doing or why she's doing what she does. She's quick, which also leaves you no time to ask her any questions and not like you really get a chance to when your mouth is stretched and probe. She does not seem to know what being gentle means. Every time I see her, I ended up with cracked lips despite putting on a ton of Chapstick before hand. We never achieved the result I think I should've received. She waited until just 2 months before our 2-year estimate was up to tell me to remove my wisdom teeth. After that she only spent one month to try to close the gaps between my teeth then took off everything. My teeth shifted immediately the following appointment and she just told me we needed another treatment plan which will cost more, of course. Her office was very cheap. Floor creak. Lights were dim. The hallway was never lit. The water pressure from everything was low. The dental assistant and old man who does the molding were nice but the receptionist was not very friendly.
