My son went to Dr. Stein for the 1st phase of treatment. We decided to seek a second opinion for the 2nd phase. We found that although the treatment plan was similar, we decided to switch to the new orthodontist who had a much better bedside manor and a very friendly staff. My son use to have anxiety about going to the orthodontist and now we have a much different experience.

Started with my older son and took younger in for free consult. Both boys ended up in treatment at the same time. Dr. Stein is wonderful! Both boys finished treatment in less than their respective times and both smiles are brilliant!! Staff is great-always willing to answer any questions and be of any help. SInce I had 2 in treatment, receptionist always scheduled them back to back in the office closer to my house. They helped with all my insurance issues (we switched dental carriers half way thru treatment). I would highly recommend Dr. Stein to anyone in the area!!

we went to dr. stein two times for an initial consultation and then additional follow up to begin the process once our daughter was ready for braces. i found most of the office staff nice, but one gal and dr. stein came across very condecending. they would not even qoute us an exact price until we paid $475 for the molds! after my experience i heard several people say they were not bothered by this practice, and others really agreed with us...so i guess if you jive with his "bedside manner" you'll be fine....not the relationship we we looking for.

Everyone there is great to work with, from the people answering the phones right to Dr. Stein. So glad I chose him after hearing horror stories of other orthodontists. He is great with the kids and even makes home calls to make sure they are pain free and ok with the braces.

Dr. Stein may be an excellent orthodontist. But, his scheduling and after hour support leaves much to be desired. If you schedule an appointment for 4pm, you can guarantee that you will be there until at least 5pm. They just don't seem to have a problem with over-booking appointments and making you wait. And, if you need after-hour support. Forget it. You are an inconvenience. On two different occasions I needed afterhour and weekend support. Once, on a Tuesday at 5:15pm, my tooth with the brace still attached, fell out. Now the tooth was still attached to the brace so it was just hanging in my mouth. I called the orthodontis immediately and they told me I would have to wait until the next day because "they were already running late and they wanted to leave for the day". Now isn't that nice. It is okay that I can't eat anything because they want to go home. Another time, on a weekend, my wire was coming out. I called his office expecting to get an answering service, which I did. But, the answering service referred me to an oral surgeon. Now you figure that one out. After much ado, the oral surgeon did help me. Plan to have lots of time and not need afterhour support.
