Family of 3 with no dental problems, no history of dental problems. Office visit lasted 27 minutes. Xrays on 1 child. Another baby with only 3 teeth. Bill was almost 600 dollars. Paper work for parent is rediculous. No need to fill out SSN, drivers license number, address and other info 3 times for the 3 kids and repeat this every 18 months. I can understand why the medical hx needs to be updated, but this other stuff is busy work and should be computerized. Dental care is good, but the rest is enough to make you want to go somewhere else.

I know this doctor: 3 years

Both of my children have been seeing Dr Hishaw for over four years now and I recommend everyone who has children to her office. Very caring, understanding and professional.

Wonderful facilities, but recently ceased taking many insurance carriers and did not let families know until a month after the fact.

My daughter went to her first dental appointment ever here. After no sleep the night before, she had a wonderful experience with Dr. Hishaw. The office is very welcoming for children and make them feel comfortable.

Who ever wrote this about her office is absolutely out of their mind. That office cares for the needs of children who need special care, who have fear of dentists. I as a mother am glad there is a office who cares for children in Tucson. Dr.Hishaw is a great dentist. I will always keep my children at that office. The staff is wonderful too! Don't let these people fool you.

I loved my visit to Dr. Hishaws office. She is so patient and understnading. My child was very scared to say the least. Her staff was able to take X-Rays "Pictures" and even do the cleaning and fluoride on the first visit!! She took the time to answer all my dental questions and my son cant wait to return! Thanks for making the dental office a fun place to visit! **Congrats on your appearance on the Discovery Channel! Well Deserved!!

Several years ago, I took my 18-month-old to a pediatric dentist in town (not Dr. Hishaw) and we were given an estimate of $5000.00 to correct her BABY teeth. We were horrified because he was going to put her in the hospital and have anesthesiology involved, which was part of the reason the cost would be so high. By a true miracle I found Dr. Hishaw, who performed the most amazing artistic experience I have ever been a part of in the dental world. She fixed our baby's teeth in the office and was happy to do whatever it took to make our child comfortable. She is truly an artist in her field. I walked out of the office paying a few hundred dollars, instead of thousands of dollars. One of the reasons she started her own practice was to get away from the production line mentality and unnecessary treatments that some dental facilities aspire to. I am proud to have found the best pediatric dentist anywhere, I have followed her to her new office and would follow her anywhere. She is truly in love with each of her patients and the staff are always kind and helpful. We just got home from an appointment this morning with her. My children (all 4) LOVE going to her child oriented office. She is the BEST!!!!!

I am a dental hygienist and worked in the pediatric dental world for over 20 years. My friend brings her children to Dr. Hishaw and from my professional view, Dr. Hishaw is one of the most honest, caring pediatric dentists and she provides excellent dental care. From a personal view, she was able to treat my friends son when no other pediatric dentist could. Her son had extensive dental work done and he still loves going to the dentist. And yes, the treatment was necessary treatment. Dr. Hishaw is trying to treat the many children in need of dental care in the Tucson area. The fact is there are not enough pediatric dentists in the country to treat all of the children. She is doing her best to serve this demand. Do you want your child to be the one that is turned away? I also know for a fact, that the office uses a call list to move patients up to sooner dates when openings occur. Everyone makes an honest mistake now and then. Anyone can go out and find a doctor that will give you the opinion you want to hear. I can tell you stories of pediatric dental offices with 6+ month waiting lists and no where near the professionalism. I suggest that some of you do your homework before posting malicious statements.

Two of my children have been going since she opened practice. recently we were told my son had a cavity in a baby tooth and it must be taken care of right away to avoid dmage to permanent tooth. The problem: they can't schedule us until three of four months down the road. Of course they offer a "preferrence list" othewise known as "on-call" and if the care of the child was important to us we would be more accomadating to them and their scheduling problems. I expressed my concerns that the practice/business has changed since they were first open and the front desk clerk explained that they have many patience now and they really feel the are able to take care of existing patience. She explained to me several times that they are in demand because the doctor was a peds doc and that was very rare in town. I asked if they would put a cap on # of patience and she states no. By the way i never did hear from the doctor, regarding my son waiting 3 or 4 months for tooth repair, since they can not provide service. i guess she is just too busy making $ to deal with patience. I guess it's true, $ does change people. You make a choice a doc that cares about patience or overbooks for the $. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I took both my children to Dr. Hishaw's office and had an excellent experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the dentist explained everything to me before I scheduled treatment. My children actually are looking forward to our next visit! I have recommended Dr. Hishaw's office to all my friends with children.
