Don't ever go there. They torture children by strapping them to a papoose board. It's like something out of a horror movie. The staff is so DESENSITISED they don't even hear the screams any more. I'm never doing that to my child. I signed the consent and it felt too late to back out. Who are these people that think this is okay?

I highly recommend this dentist. I have been bringing my kids here for the past 6 years and the staff and dentists are great with kids. Their speciality is children and they'r environment is very kid friendly considering it is the dentist.

I took my kids to this office primarily because the doctors specialize in children. Most doctors in San Jose are adult dentists who dont have the proper training to deal with children. Most dentists claim they have significant training in examining kids but they dont. Dr. Akhbaris Office is the only office in the area who is certified by the Dental Association as a primary children dentist. Overall, I was very pleased with the service I received. Since my fist visit I have continued to take my kids there. The cost was great, the employees were nicer, the office was clean and located in a convenient location.

I took my son to Dr. Akhbari's clinic and was not happy. It was crowded and took almost 2 hous to complete the Xray, cleaning, and exam. I am not sure if I was talking to a dentist for the xray review because she did not introduce herself and no one wore name tags. The cleaning did not include flossing. On the positive side, every one was curteous and smiling, several languages were spoken, it was clean. Since he specializes in children, I thought it might be a cheerful atmosphere, but no. All the signs on the walls were about not using cell phones and that they don't accept checks. The only poster in the xray room was on how to strap down a non-cooperative (frightened) child. I'm so glad my son did not see it!!!
