Dr. Jaffrey and her new associates have been very accommodating with my family's dental treatment and prevention. She is very polite and knowledgeable with parents, and more importantly, gentle and soothing for the kiddos! The toys in the waiting room and throughout the office are a great distraction for them. The only downside is this office is very, very busy due to its popularity. You definitely need to pre-book your appointments.

I had a horrible experience. My daughter had a slight deprssion in her tooth but not a cavity. When I arrived I asked for the safety data on what they were going to use to fill her cavity. When my daughter sat in the chair the nurse immediately started giving gas without patient consent or being seen by Dr Jaffrey. Dr Jaffrey came in and deterimed it was not a cavity but a molar growing in causing pain. Could not provide a sufficient level of detail regarding safety data of filling. they were ready to drill , fill and bill when nothing was needed. I took time of from work for nothing. Also not upto date on BPA on sealents nor does Dr Jaffrey take the time to understand what chemicals/metals they are installing in there patients mouths. She would say " I am not the manufacture" agreed but you are the doctor responsible for the good dental health of your patients and you do not care to determine if mecury or sealants are safe? What are your safety procedures when giving gas? As a Doctor I really do not think they care about patient safety and long term health risk. More interested in just making money. the facilities are very nice.

I brought my 2 year old here because she had multiple cavities. She needed to be put under general anesthesia to have her teeth fixed. The process was confusing trying to figure out medical insurance, dental insurance, the dental office and children's hospital. Everyone seemed pleasant enough, but there are a lot of different dentists and people in the office that you need to deal with. In the end the dental work seems to be fine, but we were faced with exorbitant additional costs that we were not informed of until five minutes before our 2 year old was put under general anesthesia, that would not be covered by medical or dental insurance. If you use Walnut Creek Pediatric Dentistry, I highly suggest you make sure you know exactly what you will be charged with.

Dr. Jaffrey is one of 3 pediatric dentists in an all-pediatric practice. The waiting area is very kid friendly with kids' toys nad books. Her staff is very responsive, caring and accomodating. My kids are now 8 and 10 and have enjoyed and looked forward to their dental visits since they first went as toddlers. Dr. Jaffey is excellent and explains everything very well. My kids have never had any pain, even with local anesthesia injections to do fillings. We have Delta Dental full coverage plan from my employer, so I've never personally paid a cent to the practice. The bills that go to Delta Dental show reasonable charges, but I'm not sure if self-pay charges would be higher. The only negative is that the practice is so popular and busy that sometimes there can be over a 2 month wait to get an appointment.

When my son first started going to the dentist at 2 years old, we chose to go to Dr. Jaffrey's office because she, and Dr. Spencer are well known in my area. Everyone was very nice, cute office. Everything in the office is decorated in Snoopy! Dr. Jaffrey was very nice, soft spoken, and deals with children very well. At the end of the appointment, there is a Snoopy dog house and kids get to pick one toy and they get a ballon! I recommend this dentist to all children!!
