Dr. Himelhoch was horrendous with my 4 y/o (new to a dental office) who had a cavity to fix. We came for the follow up where initially the wonderful asst told us that my child could sit on my lap to make the experience more comfortable. The dentist proceeded to come in, and told us it wasn't going to work like that and that she’d have to sit on her own. When one set of expectations is set with a 4 y/o and then it’s pulled off the table, it doesn't go well. As I’m comforting her, I hear Dr. Himelhoch in the background tell my child "Well, you don't really have an option" AS MY CHILD’S CRYING. She proceeded to ask if I needed assistance in restraining her in the seat. Finally, when my child’s inconsolable, she suggested the infant lap seat. If that was an option, why wasn't that the initial suggestion? When I told them I didn’t want to go forward as it was out of control, she then addressed my child w/ "I'm very disappointed in you for making this so difficult for you mom." WHAT?!?

Our kids like going to the dentist! There is basically no waiting time and everyone in the staff is very nice and does a great job with children.

Dr. Himelhoch knows her stuff! We have always felt as though all of the options and advanced technologies were available to us and our children. All three of our kids have had their lives improved through Dr. Himelhoch's care, and they have the perfect smiles to prove it.
