I do not recommend Dr. Gavris. My kids liked her, so we went there for a few years. But as time progressed, I felt like they were receiving inadequate dental care. One of my kids had a few cavities and she insisted they didn't need to be filled, even when they caused pain. She also made us return every two months for "consultations" but rarely did proper cleanings. She also seemed a little hasty about pulling teeth if she felt like they were "taking too long" to fall out so I began to question this and from everything I read on websites from other dentist offices, the ADA, etc they say let the tooth fall out when it's ready. But the weirdest thing about the appointments was that she really only interacted with the kids. I didn't get feedback about brushing habits or advice on brushing technique, but then one appointment she just started yelling at me saying that I'm doing a bad job and I'm destroying my kids teeth. But meanwhile I had been taking them there for a long time without receiving feedback so I had no idea I wasn't brushing well enough. The receptionists are nice are so are the hygienists, but that's it.

We have been going for several years. A week ago, someone in our family missed an appointment. He had thought the appointment was Thursday instead of Tuesday (the office *did* remind him, but he still got it wrong). When we got the bill, it was $150 for a missed appointment! Better make sure you always make your appointments!

My kids have been going to Dr. Gavris for several years. She's very funny and has a great way with my kids, but her humor is dry. For those that might not appreciate dry humor, she may not be your cup o' tea. What I liked most about her was that our former dentist was aggressively pushing for my son to have teeth pulled at a young age for predicted crowding. It turns out that his teeth corrected themselves of their own accord for the most part. She also works with the cleft palate team for my daughter so that there is communication between the two dental care facilities. In my opinion, she tends to promote natural courses of action vs. drastic measures that can also be costly both in pain and money.

I met this doctor when we were both in our twenties and have seen her only since. She used to do most of the procedures by herself but now has a bigger office with a lot of specialists who each have their own field of expertise. The rest of the staff and hygienists are really nice also and their office has all new dental equipment and plenty of parking. they are the best

I've lived in Nashville for the last 6 years, and still fly home every time I need to go to the dentist. I wouldn't let anyone but Dr. Gavris touch my teeth.

Twelve years ago I met Dr. Gavris as a dentist for my four teenage chilgren. We were happy then in her small office and now my children bring their children to Dr. Gavris's new expanded office. The orthodontist Dr. Emilie Troupe is a great addition to the other specialists in the office. My family drives from as far as Mendon and Webster for their family care.

Stay away! My kid, who generally loves everyone, was terrified of this lady. I can't believe she actually chose pediatric dentistry for a living. She is loud and crass, and in the end charged us for way more than was necessary. She will wring out your wallet.

Over all Dr. Gavris is a real professional and openly discusses the patients case in the decision making of further treatment. I am quite impressed with her care to patients both interms of their health and cost.
