Dr. Hernandez is the BOMB!!! She treats her patients like gold! She's Amazing. Unfortunately I believe she has to move because St. Joe's / U of MD is closing her building! What a shame! I will be taking my patients to Dr. Tracy Bowden"s office where she will continue to treat my youngest 2 kids. My biggest regret with Dr. Hernandez is that she appropriately refers her patients out to general dentists when they turn 16-18. But will my special needs oldest child she will continue to see him until she retires. That's her promise! No one better!!

About Front Desk: Dr. Hernandez's office is more like a boutique practice. Even though I have to file with my families insurance it's okay!! As far as her front desk!!! I thought Dr. Hernandez did this also!!!! But it is her younger sister that manages the practice and they look identical! What a gem this pediatric dental practice is!

Both my children have seen Dr. Margy and both have had great experiences. My 15-year-old still sees her. She is particularly gifted with very young children. On our first visit, she actually asked me to come back and chat with my daughter because she seemed nervous. She's been rated by Baltimore Magazine as the region's best pediatric dentist. The only criticism I can offer is that she's not cheap and she doesn't take many forms of insurance.

About Front Desk: Polite and competent.

She is so patient and sweet. and I was allowed back with both of my children, who were 1 and 3 years old at the time.

Dr. Hernandez is one of the best. My son is now 15 and has been going to her since he was 4. When he was young, he looked forward to going to see her. It was worth the extra money.

steer clear! parents are not allowed back with the child, even on the first visit and given the fact that one on my kids (4 year old) was very scared, almost in tears. she came out and told me that my 5 year old needed 3, maybe 4 fillings. i went to another dds for a second opinion, with dr hernandez's xrays in hand. turns out, my daughter had only 1 cavity, not "3 and maybe a 4th", as dr hernandez had stated. to make matters worse, the R (right) and L (left) symbols on the xrays were on the wrong sides! the new dentist told me that he thought they were switched, but he had to re-xray her to be sure, giving her another dose of radiation. he was correct- if he had used dr hernandez's xrays, he would have numbed and drilled on the wrong side of her mouth! agh!! baltimores best? i think not.

Dr Hernandez is the nicest dentist that I have ever known! She is warm, friendly, and non-threatening. She and her staff go to extraordinary measures to make the experience as pleasant as possible for both of our kids. The waiting room is packed with toys, and the kids can watch cartoons (with headphones) while they get their teeth cleaned. We thought that my daughter might need to have a baby tooth pulled on the next visit, so Dr. Hernandez took quite a bit of time to explain to her in the nicest possible way how that procedure would go. My daughter wasn't scared at all! It turned out that the tooth fell out on its own, but I thought it was fabulous that Dr. Hernandez was thinking in advance about preventing any anxiety. I wish I'd had her when I was a child. Her office does not participate with our insurance, so I have to pay-of-pocket and be reimbursed, but it's worth it. I recommend her highly!!

Dr. Hernandez was recommended by my pediatrician when one of my children had a injury to her mouth. That was 6 years ago! Her office is welcoming and very helpful working with my schedule. She and her staff are extremely child friendly!

My daughter has been going to Dr. Hernandez since she was 2 yrs old for checkups and loves going to her office. She had a polaroid taken of her on her 1st visit and when Dr. Hern comes to meet her at the waiting room door on their way to the dentist chair they look for her picture among all the kids pictures along the hallway, and when she is getting her teeth cleaned she gets to watch her favorite cartoon on the tv mounted on the wall. She makes the kids feel so comfortable in the chair. Dr. Hernandez and her entire staff from even when you call to schedule an appt are the sweetest and kindest people in the field. If all dentists and their offices were this way - no one would be afraid of the dentist. I wish she took care of adults too.
