I want to be clear that the Dr. Baker I am writing about has been in practice for many years in Kinston, NC and must be in his late 60's by now. I was Dr. Bakers patient in the early 1970's for about five years. I was six when I started treatment. I had complicated case and he was an excellent dentist. But my experience with him left me so traumatized I still have severe anxiety when I go to the Dentist. Dr. Baker would not allow parents in his treatment rooms back then, with good reason. He was very rough and mean spirited. He yelled at me if my head was turned slightly or if I slipped down in my seat. I witnessed him strap one girl onto a board because she wouldn't stop crying for her mom. But when he met with parents after his treatment he was a different person. So concerned. To a six year old mind the confusion added to the trauma. I cannot think of anyone less suited to work with children. Do not let this man alone with your child for treatment. Insist on being present for their protection. Please believe me when I tell you, my experience with Dr. Baker was one of the worst of my life, even after all these years. And that is saying A lot. This is the only negative review I have ever written. It is my duty
I know this doctor: I was his patient for 5 years in early 1970's.
