My son has required many hospital stays in his short life and is terrified of going to the doctor. Dr. Kotil's office had no patience with him and even yelled at my child. I would not recommend this office to anyone. I would think a pediatric dentist would have more patience with children, especially a special needs one.

We love Dr. Kotil and his staff. Everyone is super professional and friendly. They run the office very smoothly. One of my sons had a filling without knowing it was done! they had such great technique and distractions (TV!). I would highly recommend him.

We were going to Dr. Kotil for A year (all three of my children), on our third time going he wanted to pull out seven baby teeth out of my seven year old mouth. Claiming it will help bigger ones grow faster he was in first grade. I allowed him to and it was the worst MISTAKE OF MY SONS LIFE, he has become depressed because he is embarrased by the way he looks by having so many teeth missing for so long now THREE YEARS. He gets made front of, and now he is in the fourth grade and NOT EVEN ONE TOOTH HAS COME UP!!! He has a hard time eating meat, because he hasnt had any "eye" teeth, the pointed ones, for over three years. He now sees a new dentist and since he had his teeth pulled so early the ones in place have shifted and covered the big teeth and they are not coming up. WHICH WAS THE WHOLE REASON HE SAID WE WERE DOING IT. He is afraid of the Dentist. I FEEL HORRIBLE AND WILL NEVER EVER ALLOW BABY TEETH (with NO CAVITIES) BE PULLED I dont suggest him he made me feel so sure HE said straight to my FACE that this would BENEFIT MY SON....it didnt! I cry myself to sleep because I think about what I allowed him to do and the negative impact it had really hurts:(

Our son had a traumatic experience in the office of Dr. Kotil. Our son had nightmares for the next two months. We were unable to even turn the lights off at night. I had to wake up many times during the night to wake my son up from those nightmares. Dr. Kotil actually had a struggle with our son. My son repeated a number of phrases that Dr. Kotil used in the dental room which was very disturbing. Dr. Kotil was extremely mean towards our son and forceful based on the words repeated by our son. Dr. Kotil does not allow parents in his office while working with their kids. This was a big red flag! Dr. Kotil was also wrong in his assessment of our child's repair work. Dr. Kotil office then told us that we would be billed 100.00 after insurance; however, he sent us a bill for 225.00. When I didn't pay, he sent his collection hounds after me threatening me. I called his office and spoke with him. Dr. Kotil ended up yelling at me. We took our child to another dentist and paid to have the X-rays done again and paid for the initial office visit. We didnt have a problem with the next Dentist. I will always remember the horrific experience I had at Dr. Kotil office.

Dr Kotil is a dream. He has treated my son since he was in Med school and has gotten my son over dental trauma with his patience and kindness. Yes, the office staff has some issues and is very unpleasant to deal with at times, but the care my son receives in the chair is far more important than the treatment I receive at the desk. I have had both good and bad experiences at the front desk. I do think it would be beneficial for Dr . Kotil to check on what is going on at the desk before he loses patients because of the rudeness that I have seen and received at the front desk. On the whole Dr. Kotil is a great dentist for kids of all ages.

I recently visited Dr. Kotil's office with my 2 yr old and was at first very worried about how my son would handle a dentist visit. The staff was very helpful and reassurring and calmed my son down and handled the visit very, very well. I was very impressed with the professionalism and in which the way the staff and Dr. Kotil related to my son and reassured him. Dr. Kotil explained everything that was going to happen and what he was going to do in a manner that was very comforting to my son. I will be recommending Dr. Kotil to everyone I know!
