We had been coming here for years. My husband and I were not impressed by the cost or bedside manner. So we switched. we were shocked when our new dentist showed us his X-rays and told us that our son had such deep cavities they had to have been there for years! years!! So now my done has damage to his perm. molars. they do not like to be questioned about cost. a services were refused at one visit when my husband showed up and questioned the bill. It was shocking!

While at first we were happy with the treatment that Dr. Branam's office provided to our children, we quickly began to question some of his methods. The fact that the parents were not allowed to go with the child for the exam to "encourage independence" seemed like an acceptable idea even though we were somewhat uncomfortable with it. This has led to our planned exit from entrusting Dr. Branam with our children's care. The problem has risen because without the parent’s consent on multiple occasions now they have treated our children with uncovered procedures thus sticking us with bills for uncovered procedures that the insurance will not cover. Not allowing the parents to accompany the children in the exam rooms, providing treatments without consent, then expecting the parents to pay the uncovered bill is totally unacceptable. Although they may specialize in pediatric dentistry and handle the children well, they obviously are lining their pockets with additional money by performing services not covered by insurance and doing so without any interactions with the parent. After 3 instances of getting stuck with uncovered expenses that we were not consulted on, we will be looking for a new dentist.
