I stayed with him for years although he was really expensive and a mill because he was good with my young kids. My youngest son broke two adult teeth in an accident. Dr. BLum charged over$1000 to temporarily fix them. When my son had another injury over a year later and I couldn't see Blum immediately I took him to my dentist. He asked what happened to the teeth Blum fixed. The way he fixed his teeth pushed the bottom front teeth in front of the top. The new dentist said his mouth must have been bloody when Blum did it. But he fixed it days after the accident. IThere was no blood. When I told him how much he charged the new dentist satd he would have charged less than $300. My son needs to significant work to fix his bite. When I told a friend about it she said the same kind of thing happened to her son years ago.

When I brought my young son in for a first time cleaning I felt that the experience was pleasant and very successful! People told me insurance may be an issue since he only accepts one, but I feel he is worth it 2x a year! I explained to my friends that I go for the good commradery and personal touches!

Dr. Blum, unfortunately, takes advantage of his patients' parents by performing procedures which the insurance does not cover, and then billing the parents directly. While there might be some procedures which could be necessary, there is no consultation with the parents until the bill is sent. After paying out of pocket for an initial X-Ray not covered, I recommended that my ex-wife and I find a new pediatric dentist. She didn't, and now we are both being sent bills for over 400 dollars for charges we did not know we'd receive. When you do not pay, his office will eventually refer the bill to a collection agency.

Horrible! He's all business and no care. Initially, you think he's pretty cool because he makes the kids laugh, but his treatments are expensive and the quality of his work is poor. My child was in pain during his treatment and was traumatized afterwards, as was I. His staff is rude and refuse to answer any questions about procedures and cost. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and he was horrified by the cracking fillings and the poor quality of work. My family and I are completely disgusted!

Very child-friendly office and staff. Quick service. Excellent attention to emergency calls. many month advance wait for late afternoon appointments (OK if you schedule ahead at each visit). Not insurance-connected for us so cost seems high, but that may be par for the course. Overall no other complaints. My kids love going to the dentist!
