Inappropriate/radical treatment plan to address my periodontal situation. Only option recomended was extraction of a (perfectly healthy) tooth, them replacement with an implant. Already set appointment to have tooth extracted 1 week later when it was suggested to me that I seek a 2nd opinion. That periodontist recommended that I only needed a simpler surgical procedure that would clean out infected area, without any need to replace the tooth, and at a cost of less than 1/2 of what I would have had to pay Dr. Deeb for the implant and procedure. The surgical procedure performed by the alternative DDS- who actually appeared shocked when I told her that the implant was the only option suggested by Dr. Deeb- was successful, as well as far less intense and invasive than implant would have been. Also, after several failed attempts by the asst. to get acceptable x-rays- and after my reluctance to allow her to continue with the effort- I requested that I be allowed to see the Dr. w/out further x-rays. My concerns were not addressed, and I felt "strongarmed" into agreeing to submit to further attempts to get the right x-rays when the Dr refused to even examine another area of concern, & started to dismiss himself, w/out explanation.

Janina Deeb performed crown lengthening. Great bedside manner, quick, efficient, ultra-competent I believe. Great follow up and exceedingly compassionate attitude. I highly recommend. Office staff very nice and helpful and provided great advice and service on multiple insurance billings.
