Prior to finding Dr. Arnett, another periodontist had performed full mouth surgery on me in an attempt to save 9 teeth after which he made plans to pull the same 9 teeth previously identified. On finding Dr. Arnett, he agreed to give me a second opinion for a fee of $35.00 which was not expensive at that time. He agreed to work with me to try to save these teeth. We were able to save all but one of the nine compromised teeth, which he replaced with a dental implant. This was about 18 years ago. I no longer live in CA but have had NO problems with the dental implant since I left CA 10 years ago. I have lost no other teeth. Dr. Arnett is conservative in treatment , controls pain and will promote treatments such as the use of peroxide and baking soda to lower bacteria levels to promote healthy tissue, a treatment program shunned by other periodontists and dentists because it limits the number of (lucrative) surgery opportunities. Dr. Arnett performs surgery only when absolutely necessary and when all other avenues of non-invasive treatment have been considered. Dr. Arnett is a teacher, not only of dentists but of his patients. I have no reservations in giving him the highest recommendation.
