I paid $435 for a “consultation.” After 7 weeks an assistant called me with a price for part of my treatment, and I booked an appointment at 11 weeks. I finally got my consultation appointment after ten weeks and a complaint. The price of my treatment had increased by twenty percent and I was asked to sign a contract at the higher price. I refused. Then the harassing calls started.
This is a bait and switch unethical organization. I wish I have never gone. I don't trust this doctor, as I believe his treatment options were designed to maximize his billing and not my health.

gum grafting, implants, cleanings. Always professional and helpful, good sense of humor, very patient in explaing the procedures and aftereffects.

not very good. poor service, lots of and minimal success. will have to find another periodontist for future work. doctor jokes around too much which only makes matters worse.

I had a good recommendation from Dr. Robert Shimada who was my dentist for 30 yrs. until he retired. Dr. Nakatani is professional and I can't think of anyone I would trust more with my dental care.
Highly recommend this Peridontist!!
About Hygienist: His staff are friendly and my hygenist Trinet is the best for dental cleaning around. Plus we discuss our dogs!

My husband and I both see Dr. Nakatani for our periodontal needs. He explains the procedures and any options needed. His front office is friendly and professional and the hygienists are great too.

competent doctor but has absolutely no personality. Have no opportunity to ask questions during the procedures or the treatment.

Surprisingly pain free. Appears to know what he is doing, good infection control techniques used through out procedure. Marked attention to patient comfort.

While my search for a certified periodontist in the South Sacramento area took quite a bit of work, I finally found Dr. Nakatani.
I received a graph and two implants from him. He talked me thru the procedure and answered every question and concern I had. The procedure went fine with very little discomfort.
The staff at Dr. Nakatani's office are most pleasent and helpful, and are very willing to work around a changing schedule. They welcome you with smiles and are timely with reminder calls and confirmations of appointments.
Dr. Nakatani himself is a very kind and expert practitioner and takes great pride in his work. He truly "cares" for his patients. I highly recommend him.

My mouth hurt for 2 weeks after he was done. When I came back for a re-evaul, One of the graphs he wanted to redo. I would never go back there.
