I went to Dr. Nelson years ago for a root planing procedure. A few days later, the porcelain from the back of one of my crowns fell off, which I believe was due to the way he performed the cleaning. He denied responsibility, so I had to pay to have a new crown (but not through his office). Worse, I felt the "treatment plan" he put together for me was very aggressive and carried a price tag that one would normally see on a new car. I suggest you don't have Dr. Nelson do any work until you get a second opinion. Even then, I would never go back there.

Nr Nelson was very professional and his staff is extremely courteous. I felt comfortable and at ease. Dr Nelson performed my dental surgery like a pro and I recovered with no medication and no pain.. I wish I had been referred to him sooner.

The first one of poorly five installed implants was lost after 1.5 years. Doctor replaced it charging me for the new implant and other material (he did not charge for his labor). After the next four years two more implants became loose and the doctor recommended me to remove them at the additional cost. He advised to install dentures and so far has not offered to replace these two fallen dentures. I am not satisfied with his services, and professional skills and judgment

Well sorry to disappoint the person to express their feelings with Dr. Nelson as positive but mine was anything but positive and this was after going to him for several years. His work was sloppy and expensive. He expressed his ultra conservative views through the process which was anything but professional. He was scheduled to do my implants and I found another Periodonist. Dr. Nelso had done a deep root cleaning for me twice.

He is an excellent periodontist with wonderful 'bedside manner'. i only wrote this because the first reviewer must have had some kind of attitude - Dr. Nelson is a terrific periodontist and one of the best i have met.

My experience with Dr. Nelson was extremely negative. He did not follow accepted periodontal exam procedures of measuring pockets, mobility, recession. He did not get the periodontal infection under control. He simply pulled teeth--10 to be exact--without a plan, or a signed release, or informed consent. Fortunately, a very gifted oral maxillofacial surgeon was able to remove the infected scar tissue which these procedures created and help me back to health again.
