If you want the top periodontist in LA, visit Dr Handelsman. He is the kindest, calmest, and most skilled doctor I have kown. I had an implant by another periodontist which resulted in much pain and inflammation under the gum afterwards. Dr Handelsman explained the options and exactly what he was going to do to tackle the chronic issue (it had been going on for months and the other doctor kept saying it will go away on its own!). The very first treatment by Dr Handelsman (completely painless) was successful, and my problem went away within days. My only wish was that he practiced general dentistry as well...I wish I could clone him! I still drive to Santa Monica for my appointments from Valencia. Dr Handelsman is the best!

Dr. Handelsman, and staff members Laurie, Toya, and Tanya have unequalled professionalism, awesome dental skills and teamwork. Equally awesome are their interpersonal skills. They treated me as a patient and person with respect, courtesy, consideration and caring. This helped to make all the dentistry not only painless but actually pleasant! I know that when a whole organization treats patients this way, the BOSS is setting the example.
There are three outstanding results from their care and their associates. One is that I have a new set of beautiful teeth, better than I ever had. Second I have a new set of beautiful acquaintances. They all are icing on the cake. Third is a happening that none of us could have predicted: By the removal of infected teeth ,my Parkinsons disease symptoms decreased to about 15% of what they had been. I think that none of us knows how this came about but I am eternally grateful.

Dr. Handelsman came highly recommended to me by an endodontist and
another friend of mine. I found him to be very thorough, honest, and an
excellent sounding board as I go through the process of deciding how to
proceed with some future dental work. I will definitely use him for two
implants that I will be doing in several weeks. He has been so helpful
to me during a very challenging time. It speaks well for his high level
of integrity and professionalism.
