Major pain, to which I got two prescriptions of the sam medication that made me nauseous. His answer was to keep taking this and added an anti nausea medication to go with it. Went in four days later as the pain was too much for me. Said I didn't have a dry socket, and sent me on my way. Went to a much more professional periodontist who not only found a large dry socket, but could also see jaw bone. Would never ever go back to "dr" Bartruff. His office manager, Regan, isn't much better, either.

About Front Desk: The front office ladies were helpful, but the "dr" and office/accounts manager were not.

New to Atlanta, found good reviews of Dr. Bartruff-selected him to do my dental surgery. From the beginning it was disastrous. Dr. B was an hour late getting me into surgery but gave me the meds, so I sat in his lobby for an HOUR passed out, then woke up while he was still working on my mouth! Sent me packing without the antibiotic mouth rinse. Called his office the day after, and two days after, never received a return call, nor did anyone ever check in with me. Found out two weeks later, on my own, that I had I had been given the wrong dose of penicillin. Overcharged on my bill, his office mgr Christine was as hateful and spiteful as she could be. Finally had to call Dr. B directly, to resolve the issue. Don't know how this office ever got any good reviews. To add insult to injury, now I have a big white knot over one of my front teeth that was not there before the surgery. Dr. B said that it was a cyst and it would "sluff" off in time. When Dr. B heard that I wasn't going to one of the prosthodontists he referred me to, all of a sudden my surgery which had previously been described as successful, suddenly became "well your teeth are stable for now." Sorry for the length, I am just in shock at the incompetence.

Staff in the office is horrible. I have always paid for my services in advance and waited for a refund from insurance payments. Due to the office's financial difficulties, his office refuses to refund the insurance payments. This is not a provider I would recommend as he is misguided ethically.

As I search for a local dentist I ran across this blog and had to add my post. Dr. Bartruff is hands down the best Dr.ever. He did mine and my husbands implants(3 total). In fact when ever another professional seen his work they always complemented!. I even had my ortho say "this was the best work that he had ever seen. The implants are dead on!" The staff at the time was excellent. explained what was covered by my insurance and what wasnt, friendly, professional and humorous. I honestly felt like Dr Bartruff was a personal friend.

I would give Dr. Bartruff 6 stars if I could - he is outstanding! I was referred to another periodontist by my dentist, and I checked out Yelp for reviews. Thank god, because that's where I found Dr. Bartrfuff, who is very highly recommended. I did some comparisons and Dr. Bartruff won hands down. He has the best rates (about 1/3 of the other doctor), accepts dental insurance (many others don't), he and his staff are the most friendly, professional and helpful people I have worked with in Atlanta, and he did a phenomenal job on top of it all! From the minute I called his office, they were much friendlier than the other offices (who were at times snooty!) and the second time I called, the doctor himself answered the phone and helped me figure out cost estimates and insurance coverage, and how much I should put in my flex account. I have gone to him for two gum grafting procedures, which he explained fully to me and made sure I was very comfortable with prior to the surgery. On the day of surgery he covered me with a comfy blanket, and went to work. I don't remember hardly any of it due to the sedatives, but it didn't last long. Dr. Bartruff gave me his personal phone number in case I had any issues after the surgery.

My experience with Dr Bartruff was very pleasant and I felt very confident in his treatment. I see that there was a not so pleasant review about Dr Bartruff. I would probably say that the patient probably did not have idealistic expectations. I agree that he is very busy but he spends a lot of time with each patient. He currently is working for another periodontist and I would probably hope he would one day go out on his own.

Very bad experience. I would highly recommend seeking care elsewhere. After 1 year of numerous problems, my implant (post) had to be removed and re-worked by a different periodontist, who took the time to ensure everything was healing properly.
