Dr. Barber has a great ability to put you at ease. She is very outgoing and also very informative. I have my teeth cleaned every three months and I have been doing this for the last 7 years that should say something!

I can't say enough good things about Dr Barber. My experience was almost identical to the other review posted here -- same situation (referred for a gum graft), same excellent care, same fantastic results. The graft turned out GREAT, it healed very quickly, and Dr Barber was incredibly skillful in the surgery. She clearly knew exactly what she was doing, has done it many times before, and made sure it was as comfortable as possible for me. I liked that during the procedure she was attentive to how I was doing, explained what she was doing, and even made me laugh.
Dr Barber is also very easy-going, approachable, and funny. She's a genuinely nice person and was up-front and thorough in her explanations, which made me much more relaxed trusting her with my mouth and asking her all my questions. She gave me her home phone number after my surgery, and then gently chided me a few days later for not using it when I had a really minor question about how the graft was healing on a day when she wasn't in the office. But when I called the office to ask my question and she wasn't there, they made me an appointment to see her the very next morning, which was really nice. I will always go back to Dr Barber and will refer all my friends to her!

Donna Barber was recommended by my general dentist for a gum graft I needed. I saw her, she gave me a general assessment, spoke with me about the graft and I decided to go ahead. On the surgery day, she began promptly, gave almost painless anesthesia injections (which was very impressive, given the locations of the shots), and the whole procedure lasted about an hour to an hour and a half. She gave me detailed post op instructions and also her home phone number in case I had any difficulty or questions.
The healing went GREAT and my gums look like new. Her manner is rather casual and non-formal, which I like, but (and importantly) it was always clear she knew her stuff and she gave me thoughtful and complete answers to all my questions at every stage. If I had any periodontal needs in the future, she would be the first one I'd call.
