Dr. Malpeso is technically excellent and has good bedside manner. The office is efficient and easy to access. He is also affiliated with an excellent oral surgeon. While I namely visit the office for cleanings I recently needed fillings replaced and a crown. I don't think these procedures are inexpensive but at least I know whatever Dr. Malpeso does it will last a very very long time.

Dr Malpeso is good at putting in implants, but his practice is incredibly money-driven. He convinced me to put in porcelain inlays instead of regular fillings without explaining that disturbing old fillings often causes root inflammation and requires root extraction. That happened on 2 of the 4 teeth on which he put porcelain inlays. One of the teeth cracked less than a year after the filling and required a cap. What a disaster!

Most of my teeth were capped 12 years ago , over all cost was $35,000. Luckily , My Insurance covered some cost . In the last few years , I had 7 teeth implanted. Each implant cost me $6,500 up front. and His implant procedures are quick: Extract a tooth and put implant and temporally tooth is in the same day. Not wasting time for healing gum by drilling the bones. etc. ( I was luck for not having infection) Top of the Upfront payment , He charged Medicare for " Facial Surgery" $7,000 for the procedure which I had never received.He is
exploiting Medicare system. !! now, I have an honest dentist.
About Hygienist: His Hygienist charges $165 for routine teeth cleaning and Dr. Malpeso spends one minutes to check the condition. His operation is Money, Money, Money.

I am a long-time patient of Dr. Malpeso. From him I have received an implant (with various associated procedures), an inlay and a crown, all of which have turned out excellently. Pain during procedures - even the surgeries to prepare for the implant - was minimal. I felt comfortable and confident in his abilities. His office is run professionally. His services are expensive and payment is up front, but you get what you pay for; and in Manhattan he is probably not more expensive than any other Park Avenue dentist of his caliber.
About Hygienist: I have been different hygenists over the years at Dr. Malpeso's office and they have been competent.

I had the most wonderful experience in Dr.MaLPESO office. His office is gorgeous and his staff is caring and attentive. I was always afraid of going to the dentist but the experience I had there made me feel so comfortable going the next time.
