I entrusted Dr. Kanter with the extensive procedure of removing my entire upper arch of teeth and their replacement with six dental implants for the support of a full fixed bridge. The substantial erosion of bone in my upper jaw made bone grafts necessary. Sinus lifts and gum grafts were also required. We opted for immediate loading of the implants, that is, my prosthodontist attached a temporary bridge to the implants on the day of surgery. My trust in Dr. Kanter proved to be entirely justified. The procedures could not have gone more smoothly and trouble free. Operative and post-operative pain was minimal. The gum grafts were uncomplicated. I recently saw Dr. Kanter again for the six month evaluation of the procedure and the integration of the implants into the upper jaw bone is complete and quite perfect. I highly and enthusiastically recommend Dr. Kanter. He clearly cares very much for his patients and takes great pride in his work. But actions speak louder than words, and am I happy to report that Dr. Kanter will soon perform the identical procedure on my lower jaw.

Gum surgery to treat perio disease. Not the most pleasant procedure but Dr. Kanter is very professional and one of the best in greater Seattle. No hesitation in recommending his services.

About Hygienist: Deep cleaning specialists. Hygienist is trained by Dr Kanter and very professional. First class work. More expensive than the run-of the-mill hygienist.

Referred to Dr. Kanter by my dentist for a consultation regarding a periodontal pocket I have. The measurements to determine pocket depth were the most painful I have ever experienced. (This procedure should be only slightly painful if done with concern for patient comfort.) Also, the demonstration of special brushes and tools to clean pocket was extremely painful. After the exam, I mentioned to Dr. Kanter the pain I had experienced. His response was that he practices "tough love". His knowledge of and ability to explain the science and biology involved was excellent; however, I would not recommend seeing Dr. Kanter unless you have a high tolerance for pain.

Dr. Kanter is fine. His staff is mostly fine. This is very unfriendly to families. I was actually welcomed by the receptionist to take my children elsewhere. I would never use this office again.

Remarkable man who has probably saved me from a life with dentures. I only wish I had much earlier in life understood the importance of a periodontal evaluation. The staff is excellent. The work is excellent.

I like Dr. Kanter. He is a very nice person. I have been using him for about 4 years. I had very bad dental problems, and my previous doctors never explained well the prolems and how I should do. Dr. Kanter sat down with and explained very clearly my problems and gave me detailed procedures on how to clean my teeth. The special tools he gave me are very useful. Since then, the health of my teeth improved dramatically. He even drove my treatment plan. The condition of my teeth was quite bad when I first saw him. The treatment plan is quite complicated. I also like his staffs. particularly the hygienist who does the cleaning for me. She is very nice and does great job. The only problem I found is he is not in-network doctor for Microsoft employees anymore. He used to be in Premera network before, however that changed last year ( 2006 ). I wish he could be back in the network in the future.

I went to Dr. Kanter after meeting with another periodontist. He took a much better approuch to treatment. The other guy just wanted to do surgery, but Dr. Kanter took a much less agressive path. It has worked out well. He also did a gum graft to correct a problem my other dentist caused. The results execeeded both our expectations. I would recommend him to anybody.

Talk about a runaround. All of a sudden they demanded pre-payment, even though I have Microsoft dental plan. Their dental hygienist (starts with a C or K, I never got the spelling) is a terror. Her first words to me were "I will never be satisfied by your cleaning." Nice, huh? Be warned, you may be asked to pre-pay. They did have gas and the helpers were nice, very mindful of my gag reflex, but they're very expensive.

Dr. Kanter has perform two very successful gum reductions on me and his dental technician has performed over four detail cleanings, pocket measurements, and specific cleaning instructions for my benefit. The office is extremely efficient, everyone is polite, and the financial side is similarly efficient. I am extremely confident in thier advice, in thier services and I highly recommend Dr. Kanter.

I have an incredible gag reflex, but Dr Kanter was very patient with me, and worked around it with gas. A very calm and nice guy, and his staff is among the nicest around. Going to the dentist is a painful and anxiety-ridden experience for me, but I willingly go back to Dr Kanter. That's how much trust I have in him. Highly recommended.
