I have been a patient of Dr. Bullock's since moving to the area more than 20 years ago. His work is superb, no doubt about that. But he has opted out of insurance plans, makes the patient pay up front, and then get a reimbursement check from the dental plan, which, even for routine cleanings, is now less than he charges. His new office staff is not patient friendly. And the good Dr. himself is a man of very few words, to put it mildly. Cold to put it bluntly. Business-like and professional, to put it politely. After all these years, I'm still not sure he recognizes me or knows my name without looking at my record... But my decision for switching dentists is a financial one.

His work is great; his staff is great. I have had a post and crown (is that an implant? I don't know).
However, he charged me $1900 for a crown in 2008, and didn't justify it - I can see if it was a difficult crown for some reason, but when I asked they said that's just the standard price.
