I was referred to Dr. Fran Celenza, by an Oral Surgeon, Gary Ruth, after a bicycle accident. I thought I was being referred to the best orthodontist to deal wit the effects of my accident. I was also sent to a dentist. I was not informed that the three had a dental business group together.
During my treatment Dr. Celenza was not forthcoming about what was being done. He was evasive when I asked specific questions and was misleading in terms of what I could expect as the outcome of the treatment. At the beginning of the treatment there was an issue and I was given the option to stop. I wish I had consulted another doctor at that time. But I was still dealing the the trauma of the accident, and I thought that my concerns would be dealt with as we proceeded. At the end of the treatment, the concerns that I raised were never addressed and, ultimately never corrected. He has a basic lack of respect for patients, their concerns and difficulty responding directly to questions concerning treatment. I was VERY unsatisfied with the treatment that I received.
It has taken some years to get perspective, but I would NOT recommend Dr. Celenza as an orthontist, or for any treatment.

Dr. Celenza is the Best Dentist that I have ever gone to because he is skilled, top in the field. I usually am not fond of a dentist visit however when I go to Dr. Celenza's office, I immediately feel at ease. He has a wonderful personality (warm& friendly) and we always have a great conversation. He lent me his iPod so I could listen to music while he completed the work. His work is excellent and while some may think its expensive, you get what you pay for! High end quality! Even though I moved to CT, I continue to visit
every 3 to 4 months for cleaning! I have recommend several friends and they too are pleased with Dr. Celenza & his staff!
About Front Desk: Terri, Barbara & Tracey are a wonderful staff. It's truly is a pleasant experience every visit, even If I am slightly anxious! They are all very warm & friendly! You are not going to find a better Dental office!
About Hygienist: Judy, Judy, Judy is the best dental hygienist ! She is # 1 reason why my teeth & gums are healthy! She is The # 1 reason why I continue to go to Dr. Celenza practice! Judy is a pleasure and a delight on all levels! I highly recommend her but don't take my 8am appointment!

My father was a dentist in the Seattle-Tacoma area. He was excellent. When I moved here I had to find a dentist (traumatic!). I didn't like the person I found. Also their practice charged more than Dr. Celenza did. My husband recommended Dr. Celenza. I know a lot about dentistry from working with my dad during high school/college. Dr. Celenza is absolutely excellent. My teeth are in good shape. But my husband's weren't. He has done remarkable work for my hubby. And he's been terrific to me, too. I have recommended him to colleagues and friends. Only dentist better was my dad (maybe!).

I had major problems with my teeth. Dr Celenza arranged a treatment plan with Dr Langer for a combination of implants and crown. I thought he was patient and gentle....unlike the UFT dentist I have now.

I've been going to Dr. Celenza for years. He is personable and professional and has a wonderful staff. He really makes an effort to work with you, your needs, your budget, your insurance situation. Never any pain-- and I've had some extensive work done.

Bedside manner is not his forte. Staff at times rude. In my opinion you can do much better for the money. Prices inflated.
