It's May 2017 and I am still suffering the effects of Dr. Kastenbaum's overly aggressive treatment of my teeth. He only knows one way to work on his patients and that is to remove all your teeth - healthy or not - and replace with a one piece unit.
He does not explain what he plans to do clearly.
I am very sorry I ever went to him. Please think twice before walking into his office.

Fred Kastenbaum ruined my health 30+ years ago. As an over zealous young Dr.he worked out a treatment plan which involved 3 extractions I knew had to be done and several caps on posterior teeth which he claimed I needed to stabilize my mouth. I was in his chair from
9 :00 in the AM until 5 at night. When I left I had chronic TMJ. I returned to him a few times until I arrived one day and he told me Ihe thought I had something called TMJ and said he could no longer help me? He did mention a name of a TMJ specialist but prefaced it by the fact they that he didn't think it would help
He is certainly a good salesperson at " selling " a case but , beware, he'll leave you hanging if there ever is a problem.

Dr. Kastenbaum took over my dental care when I needed extensive work...he oversaw 11 implants and did all the caps involved as well as a treatment plan for the rest of my mouth. He was expensive but worth every penny...he is extremely detail oriented and a perfectionist which is what I want for my mouth...The facilities are nice, he is very warm and always available if there is a problem. I totally trust him and am extremely pleased with his work. Since he has been treating me, my mouth has stabilized and I have never had such a positive dental experience (and I have had a lot of dental experiences)

When I lived in NYC I spent 20K but he SAVED MY TEETH. After yrs. of bad dentists this guy took care of everything and did it right the 1st time. Beautiful, painless, professional work. He saved my friends mouth too-that is how I discovered him. Now in FL-7 yrs. later-bad dentists/shotty workmanship, therefore returning to NYC to visit him for a second opinion-my mouth is a mess again.
About Hygienist: One was really MEAN-I felt violated. The other great and I had a million dollar smile when she was done. The front office lady was rather abrubt, - but I learned to work with her.

Fred Kastenbaum is an excellent prosthodontist. He did my four bridges and the repair work for the chip on my front tooth. The work is perfect. He spent 2 solid hours working on the chip on my front tooth. This is such an important tooth that he wanted to make sure it was perfect. It was. I continue to see him every year for cleanings and x-rays. I recommend him highly.
About Hygienist: Georgia is the finest hygienist I have ever been too. You'll be lucky to have her work on your teeth.

He is my general dentist. Has done routine work and a crown. Excellent work. Very happy with him. He is a craftsman and a perfectionist.
About Hygienist: Georgia is very thorough and has a good touch. Very pleased.
