I would like to remove the review number two in which I thought he accidentally made an extra hole. I was wrong. I have four holes in my upper teeth which have been there, probably since childhood, and they do not bother me. The holes are confusing to me, and sometimes to other dentists, but Dr. Lee did not make them. So maybe Dr. Lee can remove the review which is in error. Dr. Lee is nice. His staff is nice.

I went to see Dr. Lee when I had what the blogs call "recurrent caries," a halo effect, two black circles around two previous fillings. Dr. Lee did the two fillings again. He told me there was decay. His procedure cost me less than the crown that was suggested by another dentist. The good news is that I still have the tooth that Dr. Lee fixed. And no black circles. But I would have appreciated it if he had explained a little more. He did have his assistant call me and tell me that the filling would be better than a crown. Also when there was a little extra bonding his assistant returned my call and told me the extra bonding was irritating my gum. I have since removed the extra bonding.

About Hygienist: Cheerful, helpful.

Dr. Lee seems like an intelligent dentist. But while he was filling a tooth, he turned the drill in the wrong direction and made a hole in a tooth that had no decay. Another dentist has since confirmed that the other tooth has a hole. I do not know why he did this. Did he think I would not notice because he had injected novocaine? It is hard to want to go to a dentist, if the patient thinks the dentist will deliberately harm a patient.

About Hygienist: The hygienist was visibly distressed by Dr. Lee's mistake, but she works for him. She is probably a nice person.

I went to see Dr. Lee when I had a broken silver filling. Dr. Lee advised me not to do anything about the filling. I came back to him later and asked him to replace the filling with a composite, because food was getting caught in the filling. He complied with my request, and replaced 5 or 6 small silver fillings on two teeth with composites. It is now a year later, and I wish I had trusted his initial judgment, that leaving the old filling in my mouth was the better course of action. A tooth is a natural part of a person, unlike a filling, which is artificial. The less a person does to disturb natural parts of his/her person, the less trauma and the less chance for infection. I realize that Dr. Lee is a better dentist than I was aware of. A person learns through experience, sometimes the hard way.

Dr. Lee is a talented dentist. He rebuilt my tooth while it was in my mouth. He know other dentists who can also help.
