Each time I have seen Dr. Stanescu, he has devoted tremendous care to make sure my procedures are successful. He goes above and beyond, and is committed to making sure you leave his office a satisfied customer. I trust Dr. Stanescu wholeheartedly with the care and health of my teeth.

If you hate going to the dentist, you will love Dr. Stanescu!. I am very picky, so if I like him, he is great! He is very caring about your dental health, and overall well-being. Extermely competent and up to date with the latest technology. He is the dentist you won't be afraid to visit, cause you know that your teeth will be better for it. The care and service offered at his office is exceptional. I'm extremely happy with him.
About Hygienist: Victoria Dengel is the best! Boy, she really gets in there! She's been caring for my teeth for the past 3 years and when she's done with me, I know my teeth are clean!

Dr. Stanescu has his patient's best interests at heart, keeps up with the latest technology and understands people need to know how much services will cost. Dr. Stanescu went out of his way to fit me into his busy schedule when I was feeling pain and subsequently had to have a root canal. I ulitimately needed to see a specialist in the group, which was out of my network, and Dr. Stanescu helped to get me a cheaper rate with their specialist so that my business and care would stay with the DDS group where they could monitor me and ensure I had the best work done. I was recomended to Dr Stanescu from my sister and I've since recomended him to my husband. I was pleased with his services.

Seems all this dentist want is to get things done quickly, see how much money he can get from you and your insurance, and does not care less about patient care.
I do not recommend him.

I was extremely afraid of going to the dentist after a very traumatic experience with one in Brooklyn. My husband found the DDS Group in Manhattan and I loved Dr. Stanescu! He absolved my fears and made me feel at home. I did not feel a stitch of pain during my visit. I had the first part of my root canal, during which the nerve is removed, done by Dr. Stanescu. He did an expert job and it was done so quickly. I am surprised to read the other comment about "bragging". This does not seem correct at all. I highly recommend this dental group. The root canal specialist, Dr. Lynn, is AMAZING, and the billing staff is extremely helpful and smart when navigating your insurance. A+++ (I'd also like to add that I have not had to wait in the waiting room, they are very prompt.)

He's awful. While bragging to me about being able to do my fillings quicker than anyone else, he ended up doing the filling wrong having to take out the filling and do it again. While doing this he cut open my nerve, and instead of telling me or letting it heal properly he just covered it with a filling. I went back complaining of severe pain and he told me it would end soon and just use sensitive tooth paste. Months later it still hurt. Eventually upon going to another dentist I found out the tooth had become infected because of how long it went without being treated after that filling, and now required a root canal.
Besides that experience, everytime I went in there he said I required thousands of dollars worth of work. I sought a second opinion with a dentist I trusted that isn't in the area, who told me that it really wasn't neccessary. When I told Dr. Stanescu this, he became extremely angry and degrading to me. He refused to send me my dental records to give to my current dentist.
I definitely do not recommend him.

Dr. Stanescu has a very friendly down-to-earth manner and seems to enjoy his work. He is knowledgeable and will explain procedures to you. The staff is friendly too. I have only seen him a few times but I would recommend him overall.
