Most unprofessional experience. After X-rays were taken and the exam was done, an appointment was set with Dr. Chu, Dr. Onea and the sedation nurse, Samantha. Then they cancelled my appointment, refused to reschedule one or refer me to another dentist's office - leaving me with an infection and in pain.

Finding a good dentist is very important to me. I am glad I found Dr. Chu through Yelp about a year ago when I first moved here. I went to see her last year when I had pain from the fillings that were done by my previous dentist. Dr. Chu did the exam and told me two fillings needed to be redone. I agreed for her to proceed. After that visit, the pain was completely gone. I went back for two routine cleanings and was very happy with the results.

This doctor like to use up all your yearly benefits they can get, provide unnecessary treatment. They will exaggerates your cavity situation even you don't feel it at all, be prepared.

I had the worst dental experience with them.
Their assistant was so rough during the polishing after a cleaning 2 years ago that she gave me a half-inch gash on my gump. I don't know what's wrong with her but that was not an isolated incident. They always talk to you nicely but when they work in your mouth, it's as though you did something bad to them before. Later I complaint to the husband who also runs the office. He apologized and promised to look into the matter and I was very nice and did not ask for any further compensation even though the gash had already turned into a canker sore that lasted for 2 weeks. So I have regret. A year later, over a charge of just over $100 due to a job and insurance change, this same person, who asked me for understanding, sent the whole matter over to a collection agency and ruined my credit, all without even talking to me on the phone or responding to me voice messages.

I just came back from my first dental appointment in this new area. My family just moved to San Jose and I was referred to Dr. Chu by a co-worker.
My experience with Dr. Chu and her staff was a great one. I found Dr. Chu to be honest, caring and knowledgeable. She was also cheerful and fun to be with. She kept me entertained throughout the time I was on the chair by telling me a lot of fun subjects that range from travel, to radio news, to entertainment, etc. Probably she was doing this in trying to keep my mind off of dentistry.
Dr. Chu spent a lot of time explaining to me about the conditions of my teeth. We viewed my x-rays on the computer screen together during her explanation. Her dental assistant was gentle and the front staff was helpful in answering my insurance and financial concerns.
I am glad that I found Dr. Chu. I had good dentists in the past, but she is at the top of the list. I am looking forward to my next visit with her and would not hesitate to recommend her to my friends and relatives. Actually, my wife and son will be seeing her next week.

I recently moved to San Jose and have just had my first dental appointment in this area. I was referred to Dr. Chloe Chu at Pacific Bay Dental by a co-worker. I went to see her for a new-patient cleaning and exam. I am happy that I found her because of the great experience that I had during my visit. I found Dr. Chu to be very easy going and knowledgeable. She was also very caring and cheerful. While skillfully doing the work, she kept the dental assistant and me entertained by telling us a lot of fun things. She went on and on from one subject to another. I really enjoyed every moment while on the chair. I am looking forward to my next visit with her. Unfortunately, I will have to wait 6 months until my next cleaning because my teeth did not need any dental work. I have seen good dentists in the past, but I would place Dr. Chu at the top of my list. I am proud to recommend her to anyone. Actually, I have made an appointment each for my wife and son to see her. Many thanks to Dr. Chu for a wonderful experience!
