I would agree with the previous poster that when I first went there, the facilities looked outdated. Her staff other than the other dentists that worked with her were nice but totally incompetent. I cannot tell you how many times my appointments got screwed up, but I came back because she was a good dentist. However, Dr. Harper is state of the art now--everything is computerized and renovated and the majority of the staff is new (2 years) and provide excellent service. She is not close to my job or my home, but I think it is worth the trip.

Dr Harper is an outstanding dentist who I highly recommend. She is a perfectionist and really understands that visiting a dentist is often an anxiety ridden experience. She is an expert in her field and always provides several options that vary in cost which really makes me feel like she is doing what is best for the patient. While the facilities are not state of the art (old xray machine vs new computer generated xrays), I still prefer to keep her at my dentist. I had to have a few crown replaced that we put in by a NYC based dentist that had all the newest technology which is proof that technology does not trump dental expertice. In addition, Dr Harper spends an enormous amount of time out of the office providing dental care to children w/o insurance and is a true leader in the community to teach the importance of early dental care. The cost is fair and expensive procedures are offered through a payment plan. The receptionist is so pleasant as are the dental assistants and dental school students that help out.

Dr. Harper is a very amiable and engaging dentist, but the office and equipment were outdated. She requires an initial visit before your first cleaning, which is a hassle. She accepts many different kinds of insurance.
