I also find Dr. Ellie to be incompetent. When she examined my daughter's teeth she claimed that she had cavities before and has fillings. My daughter is 6yrs old and I have gone to each dentist visits and approves certain procedures if necessary, so I know my daughter's dental history and she has NEVER had any cavities or fillings. Dr. Ellie had mistaken the sealant on my daughter's teeth to be fillings and claims that she has not seen sealant so thick before. She is also claiming that my daughter has a cavity and needs it to be filled, however, I will not be returning due to the poor costumer service, their lack of knowledge on dental insurance coverage and the incompetency of Dr. Ellie Sakhi. Based on my experience with her, I do not trust her diagnosis.

About Front Desk: Secretary at the front desk is rude. (1) They had called me and were obviously very upset because I had missed a phone call or two from them. I'm very busy and they could've just left a message for me to get back to them. (2) They called the wrong dental insurance company and charged me the full price of service because they claim that I was not covered by my dental insurance. I had to call my dental insurance to verify my status and have my dental insurance call them to make sure that they have the correct dental insurance company. (3) Even after they were directed to the correct insurance company, they overcharged for the service that they provided, which was twice the amount than the explanation of benefits from the dental insurance. The charges were not consistent with my explanation of dental benefits. I called the dental insurance to verify if my explanation of benefits were correct and to see why the statement from Tooth & Co was more expensive. The dental insurance company called them to try to resolve the issue, however, the secretary hung up on the dental insurance representative after being so rude to them. I tried to reach out to them and they will not pick up my phone calls, so I left them a message in hopes that they will fix their mistakes and send me a new statement. I'll wait a week or two for a new and correct statement before I call the dental insurance again. I will not be returning due to the poor costumer service, their lack of knowledge on dental insurance coverage and the incompetency of Dr. Ellie. Due to my experience, I do not recommend this place.

We originally saw Dr Sakhi in her old practice in Roseville. Our children had bad experiences at our previous dentist and we were referred to see Dr. Sakhi. From the first visit she has been wonderful; patient, thorough and has treated not just our kids but has made our entire family at ease. We no longer dread going to the dentist! When we found out that she opened her own practice in St Louis Park we made sure we followed her. Her new practice reflects her completely; open, modern, happy and best of all not cluttered. We recommend Dr. Sakhi and her new gorgeous practice to all our friends and family and we think you should too!

About Front Desk: At the new office, the front desk girl is friendly, attentive and works hard to answer our insurance questions. We appreciate that immensely.

This was the worst dental experience anyone in my family has ever had. She recommended an overly invasive process for filling cavities for my son and even so he was ultimately in pain and we were not allowed to go back with him even when he was clearly distraught. Never went back.

Beware. The Doctor evaluated our child (age 2), and recommended general anaesthesia to drill and fill several cavities which she said were present. The doctor was quite insistent on the necessity of this procedure. We were alarmed at the thought of putting our child under for dental work, and sought two (!!) other opinions just to be sure. Both other dentists said there was no need for general anesthesia because there simply were no cavities. None. Zero. Zip. None evident on the films (by their reading), and (more importantly) none evident upoon examination. Wheew. We got away from this one just in time. To repeat: beware!

My 3 year old special needs daughter was having tooth pain due to a cavity. Our general dentist recommended Dr. Sakhi, and I would too. She was awesome and really made an effort to connect with our daughter. She explained what needed to be done, we discussed it, and she took care of us. She managed to change a potentially difficult experience into a really positive one. She took the time and obviously had a lot of experience working with children. We just really liked her work and her as a person, and recommend her as a pediatric specialist.

Dr. Sakhi made my little boy's first experience seeing the dentist a nightmare. After an exam that did not include x-rays she recommended he have work done in a hospital under anesthesia for possible extensive dental work. Said it was routine to put them out when very young. (He was 3 years old.) After my son is on the table and out (which was horrifying) she tells me he needs four root canals! What else could I say once he was out but go ahead. A little late for 2nd opinion. In the two years since with new dentist he has never even had so much as a cavity. Her approach and bedside manner once we were taken aback by her recommendation was unacceptable.

unfriendly dentrist and staff. Staff was rude to both of my children, which caused anxiety for all. Staff was unfriendly to one another. We went in for one small filling and she proceeded to file down a different tooth and crown it. $400 bill I thought that none of them were good with my children. Very dissapointed.

My son was extremely scared of the dentist -everytime we took him he would cry & not let the dentist touch him. I finally persuaded him to go at age 7--by that time he had some "issues". Dr Sakhi & staff were so understanding & helpful! My son had 2 sedation appts & everything worked perfect! He is now excited to go to the dentist! I would recommend Dr. Sakhi to anyone!!!!!

We love Dr. Ellie, She fixed my son's chipped front tooth. No tears. No pain. Just a great big smile at the end. I'd recommend her highly to family and friends.
