Wisdom teeth pulled, root canal, crowns. He is gentle and wonderful!

I never write reviews but felt compelled to do so about Dr Cruz. I had 3 crowns done with him appx 2 years ago, all which had major issues. One completely fell off 6 months after being attached. Dr Cruz did not cement it properly. The other two I am in the process of having redone due to their placement. They were too far apart and have allowed debris to enter above the crowns causing bacteria to accumulate and infection. My current dentist said I should go back to have Dr Cruz correct his work, but I would rather have it done the right way this time. His office also overcharged me $900 dollars to have 2 of the crowns put on. They said my insurance only covered a small portion. They were of course mistaken and eventually refunded me the entire amount. Again, please be cautious when having work done with Dr Cruz. He has caused me a great deal of grief due to his poor work.

Dr Cruz was fine as a general dentist but he missed the crucial sign of my abcess earlier this year. I told him the symptons (temperature sensitvity, later on pressure sensivity) but he dismissed it as TMJ and told me to take pain killers. I endured pain for five days and gave him daily update but he still thought it was TMJ. The abcess was finally visible at the bottom of the tooth and i had to have emergency procedure to drain it.

I love Dr. Cruz. He is very friendly and a good dentist! I can't speak to cost, as I have dental insurance. The front desk staff are also very pleasant. The dental hygienists seem to have a lot of turnover, but the last few visits I had were fine.
