I had dental porcelain veneers put on my teeth by Dr. Matthew. Between my teeth yellowing, me grinding my teeth, and the effects of braces waning, my teeth haven't exactly looked anything close to perfect in recent years. I thought my only options were whitening and braces (again!) but then I heard about veneers from my coworkers. She had actually had them done by Dr. Matthew and her teeth look beautiful. I figured it was worth a shot. Being new to Los Angeles, I didn't yet have a dentist. Turns out that Dr. Matthew is covered by my insurance, so I figured I'd give him a shot. I went in for one of my bi-annual teeth cleanings and asked about the veneers. The way Dr. Matthew explained it to me, a couple of office visits will leave me with a great smile for the next decade or two. I thought that would be awesome. Two appointments later, I have fantastic looking teeth and couldn't be happier. Dr Matthew and his hygenists/assistants were great. I felt minimal pain and discomfort, but nothing that would preclude me from recommending this service and Dr. Matthew!

Dr. Mathew is a sweet and caring dentist. Before he even said a word, I felt at ease with his warm smile. He listened to all my concerns and is clearly knowledgable about his craft. I would recommend him to anyone of my friends.

I don't really have big issues with my teeth but I go o Dr. Matthew's office every 6 months for dental cleaning and every aspect of my experiences was fantastic. I've never waited more then 10 minutes to be seen, the staff treats you very well and he's extremely professional and amazing at what he does. I recommend him with the highest regard.

I got my teeth whitened with Dr Matthew two months ago. There was no pain during the procedure and no real side effects either, which I thought there would be. Now my teeth are still white and I am so happy! I always had a decent smile but I knew my teeth could look better. Now that I have my white teeth so show I'm smiling all the time and it makes my whole appearance look better.
All the staff were easy to work with in getting my appointment and the whole thing was just no stress at all. Thank you!

I don't think it is possible to find a dentist better than Dr Matthew! He is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. For years I have been debating whether or not to get veneers. I have been unhappy with my teeth since middle school, but wasn't ready to actually get veneers. However, a few years ago my friend had veneers done by Dr Matthew and they looked incredible. She also told me how great Dr Matthew was.
After hearing this, I knew it was time to get veneers. I schedule my appointment with Dr Matthew, and upon meeting him felt very comfortable. The procedure itself wasn't bad, and the results are AMAZING! Now I have the smile I had dreamt of for years.
Its been 2 years since the veneers procedure and I have been back to Dr Matthew a few times, and every trip to South Bay Smiles has been great.

I went to see Dr. Matthew for an in-office teeth whitening procedure and I wasn't sure what to expect since this was my first time doing teeth whitening. I was so impressed with Dr. Matthew and his staff, they were really professional and friendly. I only waited 5 minutes before they took me in which is a record for a doctor's office!
Dr. Matthew explained the whole process to me step-by-step and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time, well as comfortable as I could be at the dentist! I didn't feel any pain, only a little discomfort. I was impressed with Dr. Matthew's honesty and did not feel that he was trying to 'sell' me but was straight forward about the fact that if I did not take care of my teeth that they may not stay as white as long.
The results have been great! My teeth are several shades whiter and I look younger and healthier which is exactly why I wanted this procedure done.
I only came in for the whitening but after leaving the office, decided I found my new dentist! Dr. Matthew is knowledgable and honest.

Dr. Matthew has been my dentist for a few years now. I actually was referred to him by a friend, and drive from the other side of LA just to see him.
I trust that he doesn't ever recommend a procedure unless I really need it (unlike other dentists I have had in the past). I've had a few cavities done, but also teeth whitening and some bonding and smoothing out the surface of one of my teeth - ie some little cosmetic work.
Most recently, he filled in a little gap I had between two of my side teeth (you could see through when I smiled) and although it was just a small tweak I'm much more confident about my smile.
I met a nice fellow the last time I was there who had veneers done by Dr Matthew, and they looked great.
Overall I really highly recommend Dr Matthew. And PS - the office front desk girls are very nice we well (and they validate parking!!!)

About Hygienist: Deanna is great. She is a pleasure to talk to, and always makes my teeth look and feel so nice and clean. This last time I had a cleaning, she had some great suggestions for how to incorporate flossing into my daily routine (something I have always struggled with). Didn't make my feel bad, but instead told me some of her other patient's tricks that have worked. Overall Deanna is just very pleasant and definitely excels at her work.

Dr. Matthew and his staff are awesome! Very punctual, professional and friendly. I didn't wait more than 10 minutes to be seen and his hygienist is really good and very knowledgeable.
Dr. Matthew is very professional and honest with what he recommends. The smile makeover he gave me was fantastic!
About Hygienist: She is VERY thorough and taught me to floss properly so it doesn't hurt. One of the best I have ever seen.

I visited Dr. Matthew for a routine check up. The process was smooth and easy. My appointment was booked by Glenda, his lovely front office assistant. She called to remind me the day before, and checked me in the day of. My cleaning was pain free and well done. Dr. Matthew reviewed everything afterwards, and made some very good suggestions for my dental care. The price was fair and reasonable. Highly recommend.
