Dr. Javid is very skilled at crowns - best I've had. Very skilled with anesthesia (injected, not inhaled) as well. Services cost is a bit on the high side but comparable to other non-network dentists in the area. Billing is ok, have sometimes needed to make multiple requests for a statement. Front desk operation is fine. There is a bit of selling pressure for optional preventative, diagnostic and aesthetic treatments. This seems to be a new facet of dental care in general per my reading of the reviews of other dentists in the area. It's all very polite and it's easy for me to just say no ... it's just not what I am accustomed to in a medical office.
About Hygienist: Dr. Javid has changed hygienists a few times in the last five years. The latest one, Josephine, is polite, friendly, thorough and gentle.

I had been to a few other dental offices before deciding on Dr. Javid's office. His staff was friendly and courteous and made sure to address my fears and concerns without making me feel like a hypochondriac or a wimp. The previous dental office that I had visited made me paranoid about the state of my teeth and tried to sell expensive services that I did not need. I liked how Dr. Javid didn't try to sell me those same services and even waited on drilling into my teeth for 3 small cavities. Instead, he gave me some fluoride toothpaste hoping that the cavities would re-mineralize as they were so small. The doctor was extremely professional and friendly. The overall costs of procedures may be a little expensive, but you truly get what you pay for with this office. I have had Aetna dental (dmo) and CIGNA (dmo) and both cover Dr. Javid as a Primary Dentist. Everytime I make my visit, I leave with a bag of goodies. The hygienists did a great job at cleaning my teeth. One of them spent over an hour just scrapping off all the built-up tarter on my teeth. Also, the office is clean and the doctor provides complementary snacks and drinks in the waiting room for the comfort of the patients. I would definitely recommend this dentist.
