I went in to see Dr. Keating to repair a chipped tooth. It was my first trip to a dentist since moving to the area and I didn't really know what to expect. I had an excellent experience though.
I was able to get an appointment right away, even though I was a new patient. When I arrived, a technician took x-rays and photographed the chip. When Dr. Keating came in, he showed me the xrays and photo and described what was going on with the tooth. He was very friendly and approachable and had a good bedside manner.
The repair was fast and painless. My insurance covered it, but he must have thought I was paying out-of-pocket because he said something like, "this is so easy, we'll just charge you for the x-rays--new patient discount." I don't know what the final bill would have been since Dr. Keating is on my DHMO insurance plan, so I didn't have to pay anything or fill out any forms. But his comment makes me think that even someone paying out-of-pocket would get a good deal.
When the repair was done, he checked my bite to make sure everything was even (a very important step that I have heard of some dentists forgetting). It was a very pleasant experience and I am so glad to have found a dentist I like on my insurance plan.

Dr. Keating is a wonderful dentist. He spends the time to explain everything and his work is wonderful. I have been a patient of his for 4 or 5 years. Would recommend to anyone. Only complaint is lack of parking. .

Good, honest, takes insurance with no problem. I got in to see him on short notice when a tooth started bothering me before an overseas trip. He fixed it in a pinch by squeezing me into a busy schedule. No pain.
