Looks is not everything, he's been upgrading his office every chance he gets. The dental chairs and equipment have all been replaced with new ones within the past two years. He's a very good and really cares for his patients.

I went for a cleaning. The office Dr. Jacob practices in is old and dinghy. The treatment rooms are right there so you can literally watch him treat others while you wait. While waiting for my appointment, I saw him working on a patient (drilling?) and scolding the patient for flinching when he felt pain, going so far as to sternly tell the patient that he was, in fact, not really in any pain. His office staff was nice but could not get my insurance information straight and it took a solid hour for them to find me in the system even though I had designated him my primary care dentist prior to that appointment. He spent a long time on the phone hassling my insurance company. When he finally came in to treat me, the first thing he asked if I wanted any teeth pulled out. I said no so he had his nurse take me down to a really gross room in the basement for xray. After that, I went back upstairs for a cleaning. He rattled around in my mouth, clearly trying to do this as quickly and perfunctorily as possible. His dental tools (pick, mirror, etc) were literally banging around in my mouth. He barely polished my teeth because he wanted to finish with me and move to the next patient. Worst medical visit I have ever had, period
