Dr Kordes is an excellent dentist. Have seen her for 8 years. Am always seen on time and the office is friendly and well-run.

Dr. Kordes does not show up for scheduled appointments. Office staff does not notify you of this so you show up and take off time from work for no reason. Upon arrival they state she can't make it in and ask if you are willing to wait 2-3 hours because she may be on her way? This is a very unprofessional practice and expensive. Consider going elsewhere.

Fantastic, experienced, thorough dentist. She is part of the Columbia Dental School faculty practice. I went to her for regular checkups for years and once needed a filling which was surprisingly quick and painless. Her hygienists are also wonderful, both friendly and great at work, though the excellent one I had for years has since moved on. I never had insurance so I can't comment on that, but the prices were a little on the high side though not outrageous. I have 2 serious issues with this practice, though, even though the quality of care is generally excellent. First, they do run late on appointments. Second, as with some other Columbia faculty practices, it's absolutely impossible to get an appointment with them or change your appointment if you have one. This is because your individual dentist only sees patients 2 days a week or so. If you call, expect to be offered a single appointment time sometime 4-6 weeks from now on a take-it-or-leave-it basis. If you're flexible on your schedule, however, I would highly recommend Dr. Kordes and this practice.
