Dr. Serrano is an engineer of orthodontics. He knows exactly what he needs to do in order to acheive optimal results while at the same time being realistic about outcomes based on his patient's reciprocity (home maintencance)! His office is first rate and he has a staff of very competent and friendly hygenists. He mainly focuses on children (because of othodontics) but he's sees other adults like me and the interior design of the practice is very professional.

I have Invisalign through this dentist, and while the staff is professional, I am not happy with Dr. Serrano's chair-side manner. He doesn't acknowledge me, he stands behind my chair and talks with the technician, he starts working on me without even greeting me. Once I signed the paperwork for the Invisalign procedure, his customer service no longer existed. Plus, he is very pricey compared to others. I went to him because of another dentist's recommendation. I would not recommend this dentist.

I have serious concerns about Dr. Serrano's ability to work with young patients (almost his entire practice). My daughter went to see him after her braces had been off for over a year and stated that she thought that one of her teeth was crooked. Dr. Serrano told her emphatically that it was not crooked, told her she was being overly picky (how can you be overly picky with these kind of charges) and that any other work would need to be done by a cosmetic dentist. He then proceeded to humiliate her by telling her something that was wrong with every single one of her other teeth. She kept telling him to stop, but he continued making cracks and making fun of her. While I can understand getting perhaps a little defensive with a very appearance conscious 17-year-old (although doesn't he deal with these kids every day), I absolutely cannot understand humiliating her over and over in a mean-spiritied way. This is very concerning and makes me question Dr. Serrano's coping skills. I can guarantee my daughter will not every want to return.

I don't recommend this dentist. I paid $6700 for my braces, while acquaintances I know paid only $3500 elsewhere and had much better results. I wasn't given a choice of the type of retainer I wanted at the end of my treatment. It took 3 visits back to Serrano to get a retainer that fit. The first retainer was way toooooo BIG and they made me continue to wear it for a whole month while another was being made. When I went in for the new retainer they tried sticking someone elses retainer in my mouth (Yuck!) and concluded the Lab must have lost the replacement. I continued to wear the "way- to- big retainer" and waited an additional 2 weeks for the third retainer to come in. Luckily, it doesn't fall out, but it doesn't cover my teeth completely either, so anybody I'm talking face to face with can see I'm wearing it right away. Ugh, the most unfortunate part of the whole mess is while wearing a retainer that was too BIG for 6 weeks, my teeth shifted. All that money wasted! I should have went somewhere else and saved $3000 At this office, you do NOT get what you pay for. I paid the entire $6700 out of pocket and I feel like they treated me as if I was a charity case during the entire process.

I recently finished treatment with one child, and will be taking my next to another orthodontist when he is ready. I am somewhat satisfied, but the experience was up and down with more downs. My friends have had wonderful things to say about their orthodontist, and I don't feel that way.

I would not recommend this Dentist. He doesn't do what he tells you in the beginning. He didn't complete my treatment as he stated he would. I paid in full upfront for my full treatment. He then asked for additional money midway to complete what he had stated he was doing. Staff are friendly and helpfull in office but he is out to take your money.

I went to Dr. Serrano for a retainer. The retainer he made for me broke in a very short time, and I believe it was because it was not made well. He however told me that it was normal for a retainer to not last long, that they can need to be replaced every year or so. I know from experience that that is not true, and my dentist was outraged when I told him about that.
