Dr Elkhal and his staff are wonderful. He removed my wisdom teeth and has done regular maintenance also. My 10 yrs has went to him for about 4yrs. He is very gentle and just a very nice person all around.. It feels like your part of the family when you step in the door. His practice is just wonderful. This DDS would not pull a back molar for my husband, but insisted on a root canal that we could not afford.I went in for an xray on a tooth that I heard crack and felt great pain in. After the xray, he looked at it and told me there was no crack and to just drink from a straw. Two days later, half of my tooth fell out in my mouth. He sent us and our young son for ortho consultation and the orthodontist sent Dr. Elkhal an order for tooth extraction before we could proceed. The receptionist, who is his wife, told me that they could not do that and I would have to go to another dentist for tooth extraction. They call and send out our postcards every six months for cleaning. It seems that cleaning is all that they do.Even the hygenist who cleans our teeth is not skilled and we usually leave with swollen bleeding gums. I've gone in with a cavitiy and hear, "I don't see anything on the xray." I can put my finger on the spot and they just say to floss more. I have since stopped going the him as it seems cleaning and calling to remind you to come in every six months is their speciality. They reprimand you for not coming in every six months, which in most people is not necessary.I was also told that they would "bug" me until I came in.
