Very rude unprofessional Dentist. I would definitely not recommend this dentist to anyone.

Worst experience for an extraction ever. Initial visit was great - they couldn't do enough for me. Came in for the extraction - was treated so poorly and like I wasn't even worth their time. Dr. Oltean was totally inexperienced at giving the pain injection not to mention while I was in the chair, all of their "tools" including the needles were right there in front of me, adding to my already anxious state. Their front receptionist was less than pleasant, not to mention you'd better hope you do not have any billing issues as that particular person only works 3 days a week and no one else can do her job. They completely screwed up my insurance including no follow through. Definitely would NOT recommend.

Dr. Oltean is a great oral surgeon. He took out a tooth for my mother, my mother in law and removed my son's wisdom teeth. I not only recommend him to my friends and business associates, but I use him for my family also. No one had any complications, he called to make sure we were okay, comforting chair-side manner and friendly staff.

Wisdom teeth removal (2). Cost was $129 per tooth, classified as "Major" vs. "Restorative" so insurance covered 50%. "Free" Panoramic (standard for extractions though).
Reasonable pricing (considering another one I consulted who was horrible prior (closer to my home) - who would have tried to charge $358 per tooth - before the insurance agreement mandated it drop to about $150 per tooth.)
Pre-treatment protocol was well-explained, prescribed antibiotics and an oral rinse prior to operation... as well as pain meds.
The local anesthesia was more painful and time consuming than the extraction, and Dr Oltean was very sympathetic and soothing during the operation.
Didn't require stitches or drilling, and there was minimal swelling afterward... against post-operative directives, had no problems going out that night and weekend... and there was no pain, maybe tenderness only, after the novocaine wore off.

My 18 year old daughter had four impacted wisdom teeth and Dr. Oltean did a wonderful, examplary job of communicating before and after the surgery. His office and the staff are warm and pleasant, and he was prompt in his service. We never had to wait beyond our scheduled appointment time. He was extraordinarily thorough in his discussion, attentive to the patient's and family's needs and concerns,and had a competent, professional, caring demeanor. My daughter's procedure went well and she recovered well with minimal discomfort...so well in fact that we decided to have our son's impacted wisdom teeth removed before our insurance plan changes so we could be sure to have Dr. Oltean do the procedure. My son had four impacted wisdom teeth removed yesterday, and Dr. Oltean's office has once again provided excellent pre-and post operative support. I highly recommend Dr. Oltean. Our Blue Cross Blue Shield covered 90%.
