Dr. Ayer and his staff are amazing! Because of a bad experience in the past with a dentist I had not been in over 10 years. I called Dr. Ayers office because of a toothache beyond anything I've ever felt. His name starts with A so he was one of the first on the list. They got me in straight away and have taken care of everything since. I wouldnt think of going anywhere else!

About Front Desk: Elaine, the office manager has helped me with finding financing for some of the earlier work I needed done. And then later with the fun stuff like veneers on my front teeth. I never felt pressured about money and we did what I felt comfortable with financially

About Hygienist: My hygienist Ashley is awesome. In and outin 1 hour tops. She keeps it simple when explaining things and never "lectures" me when I slack off and don't floss as well as I should

I have been going to Ayer for over 10 years. I have had a number of root canals and crowns. My wife and daughters also go to Dr. Ayers and he has been very successful.

About Front Desk: GREAT staff -- I love these folks. Wonderful team and always right on the mark. They take good care of me.

About Hygienist: I have had several and they were all very good in every aspect.

Went to him because his website said they value your time and you won't wait for your appointment. I waited 45 minutes. He didn't numb me enough even though I warned him he would need to, acted arrogantly, used a med that caused me to have trouble breathing and then didn't document it so the next time I went in, he nearly gave it to me again. The cost was more than they quoted and now, just over a year later, the $1200 crown has broken. Oh, and as I laid there trying to breathe I watch ants crawling on the tool cart. I would NEVER pay any more money to this dentist so help me God. Worst experience ever. p.s. be prepared- he wants to put crowns on everything.

About Hygienist: The hygeinist was the one bright spot. Great. Liked her alot. Hated the dentist.

I ended up needing a root canal after a filling due to intense pain. Long story short, Dr. Ayer performed a root canal on tooth #3, and the pain didn't subside. 4 months passed with several procedures including a second root canal procedure on #3- he sent me to a specialist. After 5 minutes, the specialist determined that the root canal was performed on the wrong tooth, so I got a root canal on tooth #2, and my pain went away. Aside from lack of testing to find the correct tooth, all of this could be forgiveable. After root canal #2, I called Dr. Ayer, simply to inquire about him helping on the cost of the 2nd crown I needed. He became very offended, was extremelly rude and beligerant on the phone (to the point of putting me on speaker phone and walking away while I sat in silence). The frustrating thing was that he kept flying off the handle without even remembering my case. He would blow up, I would correct his misinformation, he would calm down, then he would blow up again. I had seen him for 6 months, and I kept having to remind him of my case.! Dr. Ayer is unskilled- as indicated by the lack of testing on my painful tooth. He is also unprofessional as indicated by his dealings with me on the phone. Think twice.
