I had to switch my appointment due to my job and they didn't understand that. I was given pain medicine for one tooth needing to be pulled and the second for a root canal. I went two years without medication with extreme pain and now to the point where it hurts and I don't have another day off for two weeks and so i asked to have my medication filled and they said no, absolutely not. I love how this place is willing to not listen to you and shut down the fact that your gums are bleeding and you can't get work off and they won't refill your medicine. Pretty sad. Not as genuine as I initially thought. He's a smart good dentist but genuinely they don't care, that was my impression.

Very discourteous. Criticized my teeth during entire visit. Very bossy. Constant commands to turn, open wider, be still, etc etc. I had to move my head to make HIM more comfortable. Told me I would loose all my teeth. At the end started grilling me because I was on Medicaid. Asking me how long I've been unemployed and why I wasn't looking for work. IM DISABLED! Dentistry is a people business. If you're looking for courtesy, politeness, comfort, or any bedside manner at all...look somewhere else. Also, the cleaning I got was the most unpleasant of my life.

Stay clear of this man! This was the worst experience with a dentist I ever had. I went there to try & get a tooth pulled because it was infected & chip. After Koshland did my X-Rays, he explained that I have no options but a root canal. When I told him I want my tooth yanked, he basically went off on me & told me it would mess up my gum & cause more infections. He felt it would be 'immoral' (his words) for him to do it. Then he continued to badger me about being able to afford the treatment because of my occupation. I told him you don't know me or know my finances besides it doesn't matter if I can afford it or not...I don't want the treatment. Koshland then said he would understand it if a person with limited finances wanted their tooth yanked, and he would do it. That told me right there that the man is a liar, and no harm would come to me if my tooth was yanked because he was willing to do it for someoone else. Koshland continued to peddle the canal treatment. When I again refused, he said I can go somewhere else. I just got up & walked off. I now understand why he requires people to pay first because he's probably had a lot of potential patients like me leave in anger. I literally had to restrain myself from decking this man who has a tendency to talk down to you

Stay away from this guy. I went there to try & get my tooth extracted. The jerk refused to do it because he insisted on a costly root canal. He claimed pulling my teeth would mess up my gums....can you believe that. The man is very tempermental & arrogant. He talks down to you. I had to keep my cool from trying not to deck him. What sane person wants to be a part of that experience

I have been faithfully going to Dr. Koshland for many years. He always greats me with a smile is quick with an attempt at a clever joke and does does a good job fixing and cleaning my teeth.
Dr Koshland is very meticulous and describes in detail all the necessary proceedures and options.

I broke a tooth and went to Dr. Koshland and it was one of my worst experiences. He would yell at me like I was a child. When I stopped him and said I needed to swallow he yelled at me there is nothing to swallow. He was horrid and had zero empathy for me.
