Dr Calat took great care to explain the treatment (tooth extraction) to me, and constantly checked in with me to see how I was doing. He made me feel comfortable about the process, as did his terrific staff. And he took care of me right away -- just before Christmas, which was a busy time for all of us. I am really and truly glad I was referred to him and would recommend him to everyone.

Dr. Calat made a special trip to his Hoboken office at 8:30 am to extract my tooth because I had told him I didn't want to wait for his regular afternoon office hours and have to think about it all day! How many dentists would do that?!! I think he and his entire staff are great and highly recommend this caring doctor to everyone.

Dr. Calat was amazing! I had to get my wisdom tooth pulled and he explained the procedure thoroughly with illustrations. He literally walks you through the procedure and you don't feel a thing! His professionalism and expertise makes this one of the best dental experiences I have had. I will definitely be going to Dr. Calat in the future and will recommend him to all of my friends. Dr. Calat's staff were also all very pleasant. They take the time to explain to you everything that Dr. Calat will be doing and answer any questions you have to the best of their ability. The staff complements Dr. Calat well and vice versa.

I went to the Hoboken office to have a wisdom tooth removed. It was all the way in the back and it had a large cavity on the side. Dr. Calat and staff were all so nice and friendly. The office is modern, clean and up to date with the newest equipment. The xray scan was a 360 scan and it was fast, painless and very advanced. The consultation, xray and then the prep before the procedure took around 1 hour but the extraction only took maybe 5 minutes. The following week, I went for a post-op checkup at the Manhattan office. That office was also very nice, clean, modern and also very up-to-date with the equipment. I didn't have to wait and I was seen immediately. I highly recommend Dr. Calat any day, any time! If you have a good dental plan, definitely go see him. If not, it's worth the money to have him take care of your dental needs.

Dr.Calat and his staff are awesome! My dentist Dr. Lipner who is also a great Dentist reffered me to Dr.Calat for implants. Dr. Calat is calm and explains every detail in a smooth voice throughout the treatment, so you get relaxed and forget you are having a surgery. He is proffessional and his staff are very friendly. I did not feel any pain during and after the procedure, have no swelling and very little soreness. Thank you so much Dr. Calat.

I've always been a complete coward when it comes to getting any kind of work done on my mouth. So naturally I was dreading having all four of my wisdom teeth pulled at once. When I called their office, Dr. Calat's staff was friendly and informative. We setup a nice appt, I showed up late and they weren't upset in the slightest bit. They did their very best to accommodate me and make me feel as comfortable as possible. The procedure came and went in a flash. It was honestly the easiest procedure I'd ever had done, and I'm glad I had it done by Mid Manhattan Oral Surgery and Dr. Calat.

I have had very bad dental experiences in the past, with fillings and botched root canals that left me in serious pain and severe discomfort so but then I found Dr. Calat. All I can say is if there was an award for the best oral surgeon in the world he would win no question about it. His professionalism & compassion cannot be compared. He knows that I hate needles and I am always nervous but he takes time to reassure me that I will be okay. And he NEVER has hurt me in anyway. When I go to him I NEVER feel pain & that's saying a lot because I have a low tolerance for pain in general. His kind words and soothing voice and patience makes me feel @ ease on every visit His whole staff treats me like a princess no matter how busy there are. I always feel like I among friends when I go. So when I see that he is the best I really mean it and anyone that has ever waited to get a procedure done that they thought was going to really really painful they need to put all their fears to the side and call Dr. Calat asap! Trust me when I say the man doesn't disappoint!!! CALL HIM!!!

Dr. Calat recently did a Frenetomy on my 7 year old son. My son is usually afraid of doctors. But to my surprise, Dr. Calat's relaxed and soft spoken manner relaxed Marc. The procedure took only a couple of minutes and the procedure called for use of a lazer. Marc came out of his office with very little bleeding and no pain. We recently had a follow up with Dr. Calat and Marc was fine with returning to Dr. Calat's office. He seemed to have healed very nicely. In fact, Marc with the help of his speech teacher at his school, wrote a thank you note to the doctor. My husband and I would recommend Dr. Calat to a parent who has a young child who needs specialized treatment. Sandra Goldberg, Marc's mother

I just had my wisdom teeth pulled on 1/9/09. I had my consultation on 1/08/09. I like the office and doctor so much that i scheduled my appt the next day and didn't see any other doctor to compare with. He is great. No pain, great followup, always available. Online registration and questions. I was really scared because i heard of all the horror stories out there and i am telling you, today 1/12/09 i feel like i didn't have any work done. saturday the day after the surgery i was able to talk and eat soup with no problems. I took mortin every 4 hours and never at any given moment did i feel any pain. I swear by the oral surgernt and if you are afraid, you should def go and see him. He is the best and great location 41st between 5th and madison. they also have payment plans if you do not have insurance or if your insurance is out of network. My insurance paid 80% so i paid a bit out of pocket but it was well worth it instead of going to someone in my network who would have done a bad job. My sister went to the wrong one and she suffered for 2 weeks. Its Monday and I'm at work eating as if i never had my wisdom teeth out. You must go to him, he is great!!!

I just wanted to give a special thanks to the best oral surgeon i have ever encountered. Dr. Calat, you are the man!! I went to Dr. Calat with tremendous tooth pain that was supposedly "fixed" by another dentist. Dr. Calat went through my complete history, took x-rays with what looked like the latest x-ray equipment and went over all of my options in detail. I was almost embarrassed to be taking up so much of his time with my never ending questions. We decided that the best route to go was an extraction of my tooth and implant surgery. I went in on my scheduled appointment and was seen right on time. The staff was extremely nice and really made me feel as ease. They all deserve raises!! I decided to stay awake for the procedure. Dr. Calat numbed the area and went to work. He, too, spoke to me throughout the procedure to keep my calm (no fair, Dr. Calat, I couldn't laugh or respond!!). The procedure was quick and painless. Later that night, Dr. Calat called to see how I was feeling. I told him I was a little nervous because I didn't have any pain at all. He chuckled and said that was a good thing. Here's to you, Dr. Calat, for letting my chew on my right side again. Thank you for everything. You will forever come highly recommended. Mike
