I have been to Dr Balshaw for years...he is the best dentist. My whole family goes to him. I had a tramatic child dental experiences and if he wasn't so great I probably wouldn't have teeth.
About Hygienist: I adore Amy. She is great.

Dr. Balshaw and his staff are pleasant, attentive, skilled and accessible. The quality of his referrals to specialists have also be very good.

I've only seen Dr. Balshaw once in the entire year. That one time I was complaining of severe pain and sensitivity in a back lower molar. I thought the tooth was cracked and needed a root canal and crown. After all, I have 4 other teeth that had root canals so why not one more! Dr. Balshaw was certain that I was just grinding my teeth at night and to start wearing my night guard (which I never wore). I thought it couldn't be that easy, but tried it anyway. He told me to give it 2 weeks and the pain and sensitivity would go away. Well, wouldn't you know he was right!! After about 2 weeks the pain was almost gone and after 3 weeks it was like I had a brand new tooth! If only I had known this in past years I probably wouldn't have ended up having 4 root canals done. Dr. Balshaw saved me a lot of pain, time and money with one simple solution.

The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and patient. I have a relatively unknown insurance company - they were more than happy to accept it and have taken care of all billing. I have had many dental issues over the last year including severe gingivitis and grinding my teeth. After working with Dr. Balshaw and staff, I'm happy to say that both issues have been resolved. When making a mouth guard they insisted on getting it right and worked with me until it was (a previous dentist messed up and refused to make a new, correct one for me) - the end result was a mouth guard that fits perfect. I would recommend them without a second thought both for complicated procedures as well as routine check-ups.

Dr Balshaw has been my dentist since I was a child. He is professional and caring and I can not imagine going anywhere else.

I have been visiting Dr. Balshaw's practice for over 15 years, but was a patient of his former partner Dr. Levine for all but the last 3 years. Dr. Balshaw practices excellent dentistry and gives good value to his patients. His staff have been with him for some time and are skilled and efficient. Kathy and Tyrone at the front desk are courteous and helpful. The office's location near Farragut Square is a great convenience for downtown workers. The downside is that the facilities are small, the wating room is cramped, and the building is old. Overall, however, Dr. Balshaw is an excellent choice.

Best ever!
I would highly reccomend him to anyone in need of dental work. The office staff are wonderful and cheerful as well.

Dr. Balshaw has been my dentist for 10+ years and I highly recommend his practice. Not only does he remain abreast of advancements in the field of dentistry, but his staff does as well!

Dentist is pretty good. I had a filling done that was relatively painless. The cleanings are pretty intense and the hygienists can get a little rough with those metal things.
